Matt Murdock. A lawyer by day, and a vigilante by night, has just started out his journey as the devil of Hell's Kitchen. He struggles with balancing his normal life and his hero life. In this story, we will learn more about his senses, his struggle...
Matt is standing outside of a courtroom right after he defended his client.
A couple of minutes went by...
"Mister Murdock?" His client said with a concerned voice.
Matt didn't respond...
"HEY, MATT." His client said again.
Matt suddenly woke up from his thoughts.
"Oh... Sorry, Mr Grant. I zoned out." Matt finally responded.
"No worries, mate. I just wanted to thank you and Foggy for what you did back there." Steven thanked Matt.
"Don't mention it, Steven. I'm glad I could help you with that company stuff." Matt said while smiling.
Steven Grant waved Matt goodbye. And started walking towards the exit. On his way, he saw Foggy. He nodded at him and said "thank you, Mr Nelson."
Foggy approached Matt and said: "Man... That guy is weird."
Matt seemed confused, he asked: "Why? He seems nice. He was very cooperative with us on this case."
"Hmmm... Yeah. But still. He seemed a bit off at times... Anyway, we should go see Karen. She's at Josie's bar." Foggy said.
Matt and Foggy walked out and went to Josie's bar to talk to Karen.
(During the one month jump, Matt and Foggy hired Karen Page as a secretary for their law office. They also dealt with the Steven Grant case.)

Karen was sitting by the counter dealing with some law documents when Josie asked her "another shot?"
Karen looked at her smiling and said "No, I'm good. Thanks but I still need to be sober while doing my job haha."
"Sure, hun. So when are the law boys coming?" Josie asked again.
"I don't know. They said they'll be here any minute. I guess they're still busy." Karen responded.
Karen saw Tombstone on the TV news and asked Josie: "Hey, can you turn the volume up, please?
After Josie turned the volume up. Both of them seemed surprised when the news reporter said: "A new warehouse was searched earlier today after the incident that happened last night in Queens... The witnesses saw Spider-Man fight a bunch of bikers who were allegedly working for the crime boss Tombstone."
"Jesus... Tombstone has been all over the news lately." Karen told Josie.
"Yeah. I heard from some people that Spider-Man is going after him." Josie said.
Karen stood up and said: "Well... I've had enough of vigilantes. Those people are creepy."
Josie said while chuckling: "Same. But, they did save my life... So I guess I owe them a drink. Have you met one of them?"
"Yeah... The guy with black mask. He... He saved me a couple of months ago. That terrified the shit out of me. A guy broke into my apartment and tried to attack me. He was talking about some file... The guy with the black mask showed up, and they both started doing kung-fu in my living room." Karen responded with a sarcastic voice.
Matt and Foggy arrived.
Matt was smiling because he heard from outside what Karen said about the devil of Hell's Kitchen.
"There they are! You boys want a drink?" Josie asked.
"Sure! Jos!" Foggy responded.
"Don't call me that, Foggy." Josie said in an annoyed voice.
Karen approached Foggy and asked "So. How did it go?"
"Great, mostly. It was going good until Matt stood in the middle of the courtroom in complete silence and faced the crowd." Foggy answered.
"Oh, come on! I was just... Thinking. Don't act like what I said after I did that didn't make us win." Matt said.
Foggy grabbed his beer and lifted it in happiness: "Cheers to us! Except Steven Grant cuz he's a weirdo..."
The three drank their beers.
"I have to go. It's getting late. I finished dealing with those documents. See you tomorrow." Karen said.
"We just got here, Kay." Foggy said in a funny voice.
"Yeah well, you guys were late. Also, stop it with the weird names, Foggy." Karen said as she walked out of the bar.
"Huh. I guess she can just clock out." Matt said.
"Yo, Matt. You wanna have a drinking competition? The last one who gets wasted wins." Foggy asked.
"Prepare to lose, Nelson." Matt accepted the competition.
The two lawyers sat there, drinking until midnight.
"Alright, you two idiots should stop drinking." Josie advised them.
"OnE mOrE, JoOoOoSsS." Foggy said before he passed out.
"Ha! YOu ReAlLy ThOuGhT yOu CoUlD bEaT me." Matt said before he stood up and tripped and passed out.
The two idiots woke an hour later.
"I won!" Matt screamed.
"Dude, I just wanna go home. It's been a long day." Foggy said.
Josie sighed and said "you two drunk idiots need to get out. The bar gets full of criminals after midnight."
Both Matt and Foggy went home.
When Matt approached his apartment. He sensed someone was there, but he couldn't say who, because he was still not sober.
He opened the door and immediately rushed towards the intruder.
The intruder blocked Matt's attack and flipped him.
"Classic attack... Hello, Matty." The intruder said.
When Matt got close to the person, he could sense who he was...
"Stttiiiiickkkkkk you-" Matt said before he passed out again.
