*At church*
Father Paul, softly: How long has it been, Matthew?
Matt: A month.
Father Paul: Have you hurt anybody recently?
Matt went silent for a few seconds
Father Paul, concerned: Matthew...
Matt: I did.
Father Paul: What happened?
Matt: I fought Stick earlier today. You know...
Father Paul, angry: We should have never left you with him back when you were a kid...
Matt: He... He warned me about something... Something dangerous.
Father Paul: Listen, Matt. It's all right if...
Matt: After Stick visited me, I went and grabbed it... The suit. And...
Father Paul, stressed: Matt...
Matt: I can't escape it, I never tried to. I didn't come here to ask for penance for what I've done, father. I came here to ask for forgiveness for what I'm about to do...
Father Paul, facing Matt: That's not how it works... What exactly are you going to do?
Matt put on his glasses and left.
*Night time*
Matt wore his suit and climbed the highest building in Hell's Kitchen.
This time he's prepared... He equipped his billy clubs and hand wraps.
His fight with Stick reminded him of some old lessons he was taught. He smiled as he sensed someone landing behind him.
"I was looking for you." Spider-Man showed up wearing his classic red and blue suit.
"New suit?" Matt chuckled.
"Yeah actually... My old one got messed up from fighting Tombstone." Spider-Man replied.
Matt walked towards him and said with a curious voice: "You fought Tombstone? When?"
"Well... Like yesterday. Luckily, I had a backup suit. Anyway, are those new?" Spider-Man said as he was staring at Matt's billy clubs.
Matt grabbed them and started flipping them: "No. I just don't use them a lot."
Both heroes walked to the ledge and sat down.
