Adrenaline filled my veins, we had just got our first lead on Calypso, we had found out, from our spies on the inside, that she was hiding out with the stupid rebels. She may believe she's safe there, but we will prove her wrong, there is no way she can hide from the Purge. We recently received a transmission from our spies saying they had Calypso fooled in a false facade of safety. She should have known we would catch up to her at some point, but there was no way she can hide that we wouldn't find her. She really was too naive for her own good. I admired her ability to survive but her luck was running out. There was only so long one could play tag with the grim reaper. Death was approaching Calypso, faster than she knew, I would be there to watch her suffer and die, so would the boss, someone who deserves to see Calypso in all the pain she has earned.

The boss will gladly watch calypso suffer for every minute of the lives the girl has stolen. Every minute of happiness the boss never got because of this impudent child. The Purge, my life's work was threatened because of calypso, I would not let it fail, I cannot let it fail. Not now after its advance so far and I've put so many hours of my life into it. Our spies are really doing their job well.

Now that we know where calypso is hiding, I have received orders to act immediately comma send a large force into the enemy base and capture the intended target. Spare the lives of our spies but capture or kill everybody else. The young ones that show promise and who can be moulded to our ways are to be taken into custody at the compound, kill all those who serve no purpose anymore. Those were the commands from the boss and I intend Colonel Sanders and his team to follow them exactly. The boss was not pleased when I failed last time, I will not fail again. I can not fail again, not if I value my life. As soon as I had relayed the orders to Colonel Sanders, I had been instructed to return to the compound to meet with the boss. As I exited my tent, I thought about how nice it would be to get back to my office and not have to live in such a primitive shelter any longer, I looked forward to utilising the many technologies the compound had at it's disposal: soundproof walls being one of them, I was tired of having to hear the soldiers snoring in the next door tents. It would be a relief to have peace and quiet again to get along with my work and not be so easily cornered be Dr Zalenka. The compound is harder to navigate than it looks, trust me, for someone who has been walking around there for the past 4 years I would know.

I was brought out of my thoughts when I reached Colonel Sanders' tent. I knocked on the main pole and waited for him to allow me in.

"Colonel, gather your forces, as many as you can who are available and bring them to meet me in the field by the tents, as soon as possible."

Before the rather surprised Colonel could say anything, I left and went towards where the jeeps where  parked in neat rows. I walked over to one of the Jeep drivers, Tammy, who had a tomboy short haircut and what oil stained denim overalls over a white shirt.  She had a bandana tied around her head and her blue eyes flashed with excitement when I told her I needed to be driven somewhere, it was obvious time Tammy was excited to get back on the road.

"Tammy!"

I called, looking around for the tomboy driver. I spotted her legs poking out from under one of the jeeps, probably performing some sort of maintenance check up on her beloved vehicles. I tapped her need to get her attention and she slid out from under the jeep on her rolling board. She cracked a grin when she saw me, which looked rather ridiculous with the oil stain on her nose.

"Hey Kyra!"

Tammy was one of the few people I allowed to call me by my first name.

"Hey Tam, I need to be driven back to the compound at some point later today, do you have any jeeps free?"

Tammy looked like I had I had just changed her whole life with my one sentence.

"Do I? If my jeeps were doing any less work they might as well be ornaments did it just gathering dust for the army boys to look at. I'd be happy to drive ya Kyra."

"Thanks Tam, I owe you one,"

"No problem, I should really be thanking you, you just saved me from a day of maintenance and listening to Zalenka gripe about how unfair his job is. Is that man complained anymore karma he could be a politician. When do ya need the jeep for?"

"Well," I thought about her question for a second before deciding on a suitable answer, "I just have to relay a few orders from the boss to the 'army boys' so about half an hour, tops."

Tammy grinned widely

"I'll have it ready for ya by then, you can count on me Kyra."

I shot her a smile in return before turning on my heel and heading off towards where I could see Sanders' men gathered on the field - while avoiding Zalenka like the plague so he wouldn't ask questions about anything. When I reached the lineup army men, I grabbed a hold of the megaphone Sanders past me so that I could be heard even in the back rows.

"Listen up, I have received orders from the boss that you are infiltrate the rebel compound and capture the intended target; Calypso. you have found out from our spies on the inside that this is where she has been hiding all this time I'm and the boss has ordered us to attack and capture her. You will find out from the colonel who are spies are so spare their lives. As for the rest, capture the young ones who can be bent to a will and the ones who could be useful as slaves, kill the rest."

Is that I left Colonel Sanders to explain the rest to his men while I walked over to her Tammy was with her jeep climbed aboard.

We will probably about halfway between the forest and the compound when I received a message on my watch from Colonel Sanders, it was comprised two simple words:

We're in.
