True enough, on the way home from work, you bought your nephew a gift first. He's turning six this weekend so you got him a soccer ball. Mags told you how much he loves balls (the toy, of course) and that's enough reason to buy him a soccer one. You didn't know what kind of ball he likes but figured he'd like the soccer ball, anyway.

It was too hard to hide it from Toji and you felt ridiculous that you were this desperate to not be with him just because you have the hots for him ever since you saw his ass. Toned ass. You swear you're so close to getting back with him if he ever teases you like that again, so it's best to just stay away from him.

Damn him for being irresistible and hot. I hate him so much.

Megumi smiles at you when you gave him a soft kiss on the nose. You tickled his sides so he released a squeal, splashing water everywhere, causing for your clothes to get soaked. You chuckled. There's nothing that could compare to the joy you feel whenever you see Megumi happy. Not anyone, ever. Megumi will always be your number one priority, whether your future partner (if ever there will be one) likes it or not.

You brushed his wet hair off his face. He is definitely a carbon copy of his father. From his green eyes, to his hair, nose... and even his personality. You wonder what he got from you... probably being smart? 'Cause Toji sure isn't, because if he is, then he shouldn't have bought milk then never came back.

I should stop being bitter. Try to move on, atleast.

It was now Friday night, and Toji just left the house a few minutes ago. He hasn't tried to bathe Megumi since you haven't taught him how to do it. He hasn't earned that yet. You're afraid that by being close with him and talking to him more often could lead to you getting hurt again. You couldn't risk doing that, because you haven't even healed yet from what he did. For now, he should stick to just watching Megumi while you're at work and driving him to school.

Toji was your first love, first everything. Of course it's not that easy.

After putting Megumi's pajamas on him, you placed him inside his crib. You kissed him on his head, caressing his soft cheek. He yawned at the gesture, holding your finger then letting it go when he finally closes his eyes and sleep. He was already breathing steadily, so you closed the lights, leaving his night lamp on. You walked back to your room and sat on the edge of your  bed.

You reached for your phone and saw an unread message from your sister.

See u tom. I'll bake mac n cheese for Gumi. and for the kids. maybe.

You smiled at that. Riley was the best aunt ever and you couldn't ask for more. She loves Megumi so much, I mean, who wouldn't? Your smile slowly fell when you realized you haven't told her your situation with Toji yet. She'd be mad if you keep this from her any longer. You have to tell her eventually, because inviting your ex husband to your home isn't exactly what 'moving on' means. You want someone to tell you that it's wrong, and you need to be selfish for your own good for once in your life. You needed to hear that from her.

The next morning, you woke up extra early and texted Toji that he didn't need to come over this weekend. He's probably still asleep. You packed your things and Megumi's, then brought your sleepy child to the bathroom to bathe him. You wanted to go before Toji's usual arrival time, because knowing him, he would've been curious as to why you didn't want him to go this weekend. You don't want to discuss this with him at all. You have all the right to forbid him to come if you want to, anyway.

So you quickly put on your clothes, fixed your hair a bit and decided to go bare faced for the whole day. You have to leave early, as desperate that sounds. You just don't want this day to get complicated with Toji's company. Riley, your parents and everyone else doesn't know about the Toji situation and you weren't really prepared to do that yet. Maybe soon.
