"He actually said that?" Rae threw her head back and laughed maniacally. You shake your head, a smile playing on your lips. "Yeah. I don't even know why he knows what DILF means." that whole conversation with Toji was amusing as hell.

Lizzie was giggling, putting some mascara on your eyes. "How old is he, anyway? He's ten years older than you, right?"

"Eight years." you corrected her. "He's turning 35 on December." you say while she fixes your makeup. She's been doing it for almost an hour now, and you're completely relaxed since Lizzie was always the one to do your makeup whenever there's a special event back in college. Besides Riley, of course.

Rae's mouth formed into an 'o'. "Okaaay, that's acceptable. He's turning 40 in, like, 5 years." you stifled a laugh. "I'm still wondering how he knew that term. Did he have like, a girlfriend in the last two years?" your smile faltered at the idea of Toji having someone younger while you two were separated.

Lizzie noticed that, so she threw Rae a look. Your brunette friend shrugged, "What? I'm just curious. Maybe I'll just ask him myself." you rolled your eyes at her, making Lizzie's brows furrow. "Hold still, Y/N. Ignore Rae," she holds your face while she applies lipstick on you. Rae just made a face then walked towards your bed.

Toji didn't know you were going out tonight, but that shouldn't concern him. Besides, he'll be here to be with Megumi, and that's the only thing that matters. It's been two hours since you last saw him, and you wonder if he liked the brownies. Your friends seem to like it since they praise it every time they take a bite.

But for some reason, you'd believe the praises more if it came from Toji.

Thoughts about your ex-husband were disrupted by your friend, who was now laying down some outfits for tonight. Crashing into a college's party isn't really what you're expecting tonight, but with Rae as your friend, expect so many unexpected things. Some of the outfits you own since college were brought out by both of your friends, but you doubt one of them would fit. You've grown ever since you gave birth to Megumi.

"Here. Try this," Rae handed you one of the dresses you own. You shake your head, "I don't think-"

"Don't think. Just try it!"

You sighed in defeat, grabbing the short dress that you're sure won't fit you. Once you're inside the bathroom, you quickly put on the god damned dress. Surprisingly, it still... fits. You didn't remember this being a bit tight, but it was bearable. Both of your friends gave you an approving nod when you stepped out of your bathroom. They didn't give you any chance to comment when they handed you shoes to pair with the dress.

Fifteen minutes later, everyone was ready. Rae has been pacing around your room while Lizzie was busy doing your makeup, so it was no surprise that she's already dolled up. Lizzie, however, never fails to surprise you. In just a span of thirty minutes, she's ready to go, and Rae couldn't help but comment, "Okay, Ms. Flash."

You took a deep breath, wiping your clammy hands on your dress that clung onto your body like a second skin. Lizzie and Rae were the first ones to come out of the room, since you're a coward like that. Why does his reaction matter to me? Why does everything he does matter to me?  You shake off your thoughts then raised your chin, masking your anxiety with confidence.

Megumi was sitting on the couch, sipping on his juice while he watches something on his iPad. He hasn't seen you yet, but his father did. He was sitting on the couch with his legs crossed, his right arm resting on the back of the couch. You have a clear view of his broad chest under the tight black shirt he wore. Your eyes trailed to the veins bulging in his burly arms, then met his eyes that watched you with intensity. His jaw was set, and you try your best to not flinch at his hard gaze.
