Slowly I got out of my seat and made my way over to April.

I felt every teachers eyes on me as I walked.
Even the speaker of the assembly started to quiet as everyone watched me.
My palms started to sweat as I neared her.

She looked around, wondering why everyone suddenly got quiet, until her eyes rested on me.
I saw something pass over her face as I sat next to her.

She tuned her face away from me, and looked back at the speaker.

The stout man cleared his throat. "Right...as I was saying....."

April refused to look at me.
Refused to acknowledge my existence.
I only wanted to be her friend...were all girls like this? So defensive they can't trust any guy?

If so, id like to bring her walls down.
We've already talked a little, although she did seem very shy....
Maybe that was it.

I tapped on her shoulder.

Ignored.

I tapped on her shoulder again.

Ignored.

"April?" I whispered.

She turned. "What do you want Tyler?" Her words were harsh.

I bit my lip. "O-okay... Nevermind."

April looked at me with big grey eyes. "I am not in the mood to be harassed again, okay?"

"Harassed, I wouldn't do that to you!" I protested.

She rolled her eyes. "Just go back to your friends. Steven and Ashley. Leave me alone."

They had done something to her.
