Sleep decided not to come to me that night as I laid in my bed.

I was thinking about too many things.
Ashley, Steven, April. They all crossed my mind as the hours went by.

A time comes in everyone's life when they have to lose some friends, and if this knocks me down on the social scale....well....that doesn't matter.
I would rather have 1 good friend, then a bunch that I couldn't trust.

As I laid awake, a draft came in through the window, sending chills through my body.
As I listened to the wind, I heard a soft and gentle sound.

Someone was singing.

I went to the window and looked out.
April was sitting in the grass in her backyard.
Her eyes were closed, and she was singing softly.

My heartbeat sped up, and I found myself smiling.
She was really good.

Maybe now was a good time to try and talk to her.

Slowly, I crept out of my house, and hopped the fence into her backyard.

I lowered myself to the ground and sat next to her.

Aprils eyes opened. "O-oh.....hi Tyler."

"Good evening April." I said, and smiled. "It's a nice night, isn't it?"

She relaxed a little. "Y-yeah. I guess it is."

I turned my attention to the stars, to cover the fact that I was completely and utterly interested in staring at her for the rest of the night.
"I heard you singing."

"O-oh...."

"You're quite good." I cast her a glance from the corner of my eye.

Her cheeks flushed gray. "Thank you."

I licked my lips, and leaned back.
She scooted a little closer to me.
"I've never had anyone take interest to me....."

"I like new things." I whispered. "Everything is the same here, it's fun when things get turned upside down."

She moved a strand of hair from her eyes, and looked at the stars.
"Tyler?"

"Hmm?" I said after a moment.

"Do you really want to be my friend?"

I looked at her, my eyes scanning every single flaw, which to me, seemed perfect. "Yes. I do."

April blushed again. "Maybe....I could give you a chance."

I touched her cheek quickly. "I would like that."

"I heard that you stood up for me, earlier today...no one has ever done that before."

"I am not just anybody."

She smiled and inched closer again.

Our hands brushed quickly.
Color exploded infront of my eyes, taking me by surprise.

"C-can you see it too?" I asked
The girl looked at me, her head tilted to the side.
"See what?"
