I returned to the room with my food and Jack was already up eating his food. "Morning Paislee." "Morning Gilinsky. How is your breakfast?" "Great actually." "Do you want a coffee? I'm going to Tims." "Yeah. Sure." He said and told me what he wanted. "Alright. I'll be back." I said. On my way to Tim's I realized that I had to take the elevator. "Shit." I whispered to myself while waiting. One thing you didn't know is that I had a fear of elevators. Just as the elevator hit my floor I got a call. I answered the phone as I walked on. "Hello?" "Hey Paislee." "Oh Hi Valentina." "Where are you?" "Hospital." I said confused. "How long have you been there?" "Since yesterday?" "Come home." "Why?" I questioned. Valentina was worried and I was nervous about hearing her so worried. "Why Val?" I asked. "I'm coming to get you okay? Just stay there." She said as I approached Tim Horton's and before she hung up the phone. I reached the register and ordered Jack and I's stuff. Once I got the order I headed back to Jack's room. "Paislee." "Val." I said as I walked into the room. "You weren't kidding. Were you?" "No. You need to come home." "Why? Just tell me." "Its dad. He's disappeared." She said. Shocked by her words I looked at Gilinsky. "I'll be back. I promise." I said to him. He nodded and kissed my lips softly. "I love you." "I love you too Paislee." He said. Valentina and I left and went home. "How long has he been gone." "About a day or 2." I thought for a moment. Did he go and search for me? Mom seemed upset when I talked to her last. Did he die and she not tell us? "Where do you think he's gone? Does mom know anything?" I asked. "I don't know we could ask her." She said and I nodded. I'm worried about him. I hope he's okay. "Pais." "Mhmm." "Your phone is ringing." I nodded and picked up the phone. "Hello?" "Hi waverly." The male said on the other end of the phone. "Who is this?" My voice said shaking. "That doesn't matter. All that matters is that I have your new father here. If you want him back come alone. Or I'll kill him, and it will be all on you." He said.
