𝐀𝐓𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐔 𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐋 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐘𝐎𝐔 three times. three seperate times, he wanted to say "i love you." because he did, he truly did love you, but all the three times, he couldn't utter a single word.
not because he was scared to love you, but because he knew that the second those three words left his mouth, everything between the two of you could change, but atsumu couldn't help but admire you for who you are.
atsumu swears that it's impossible to fall in love multiple times—he was proven wrong, obviously.
the first time he fell in love with you, his hand was carefully gripping the frail stem of a daisy. a daisy that he kept pressed in one of his old, beaten up textbooks from middle school. a simple white daisy truly started this all.
the second time you captured his heart was when you grew lavenders specifically for him—you said to interpret them however he wanted to, but lavenders had a lot of different meanings, so he wasn't sure what you were trying to express through them. considering it was finals week, he interpreted them as a reminder to calm down and relax.
the third time he found himself falling for you was when you patched him up after a fight with his brother. it was embarrassing, yeah, but you treated him with so much care, and even though you scolded him for picking a fight over something out of his control, you still comforted him and told him what he needed to hear. he admired you for that.
he didn't expect to fall inlove with you, but he did anyway.

𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐓𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐔 𝐀 𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐄 as soon as the door opened. he immediately bursted out into a fit of laughter as you tugged on his sleeve with a small frown displayed on your lips. suppressing his laughter, he allowed you to latch onto his arm until you got out of the car safely.
"tsumu! yer so annoyin'! i told ya that i could've drove myself to work! you literally have practice today." you scolded, your kansai dialect slightly more noticable than usual.
atsumu ruffled your hair, his signature smile on his face, "i told ya, it's fine. besides, i needa pay hana back for something." he hums, glancing at you for a brief second, "and, what's wrong with me dropping you off every once and a while? i'll always have some time for ya!"
your cheeks heated up at his words. atsumu chuckled at your expression. you averted your gaze before muttering out a small 'thank you.' and opened the door for him.
"hana! i have yer stupid money!" atsumu yells as soon as he enters the shop. fortunately, there were no customers around at the time.
hana simply stared at him before snatching the cash from atsumu's grasps.
she then, turned to face you and handed you a new arrangement of flowers, wrapped in yellow craft paper this time.
atsumu's eyes immediately widened at her actions, his face seeming to drain of colour. hana however, seemed to have found his reaction amusing.
you on the other hand, had the biggest smile on your face. you took the flowers and turned to atsumu, "someone's been sending me flowers lately,"
atsumu laughed nervously, "that's nice, n/n."
"and, there's love letters attached to the bouquets too! did you know that, atsumu?" hana adds, her lips lifting up in the slightest.
atsumu's eye twitched, could hana be anymore obvious? "wow! so cool. now, if you excuse me i needa head to practice. bye n/n!"
you gave him a soft smile and waved.
before he opened the door, he threw you one last smile, "get some rest, by the way! you've been lookin' a bit tired recently."
atsumu was amused by your surprised expression. atsumu seems to notice even the smallest of things. even you didn't realize how tired you must've looked.
once atsumu took his leave, you rose your brow at hana. she snickered as she walked over to where you stood.
hana wiggled her eyebrows, causing you to push her face away.
"stop rilin' him up, hana."
"he's being a wimp, y/n, a wimp!" hana whined, leaning her head onto yours, "besides, you started it!"
you shrugged, "not really. i'm just subtly letting him know that i know it's him."
"he's too stupid for that, y/n."
"i know, but it's okay. its not like i don't like him back—knowing tsumu, he probably was thinking about this for awhile now. i don't want his efforts going to waste." you say, fiddling with the ribbon attached around the bouquet. it was a smaller bouquet this time; it held three sunflowers and nothing more.
hana scoffed at your words and muttered something about how you two were whipped for eachother. you rolled your eyes and carefully removed the envelope from the bouquet.

I admire you a lot, y'know? you're always so kind to others and put them before yourself. though, i think you should take care of yourself more. you always remind me to get some rest, but i think it's my turn to remind YOU that it's okay to take breaks. i'm proud of you for juggling a job and college, for always trying your best. now me personally, i can barely juggle school and my extracurriculars, so you're already much more admirable than i am! i honestly can't seem to help but admire you for all the stuff you've done for me. you're truly just a wonderful person,
y/n.
i honestly wouldn't be able to tell you how my feelings for you appeared, maybe it was pure admiration that started this all. i don't want to get too mushy, so i hope this letter reminded you to get some rest and maybe brightened up your day a little!
𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬
admiration/i admire you tons and hope you get some rest!
