"Altus Paris will never change will it" Vanitas says

"Oh come on it's not all that bad" Noé replies

Vanitas and Noé were here once more. Even though this time the reason is the shapeless one and not Domi.

"Where is that stupid shapeless piece of trash anyway...Hey Noé where do you think he would go"

"..."

"Noé?"

Vanitas turned around just to realize Noé was gone and he was left all alone in a city full of Vampires.

"Noé...Damn it where are you?!"

'Noé wouldn't wander off and leave him in a moment like this...or would he?' Vanitas realised it was not impossible but still he believed Noé wouldn't leave him like that if there was no bigger reason especially cause this place was dangerous for a human but then again he is used to getting betrayed by people closest to him...but he still wanted to believe Noé wouldn't...

"Noé you...you wouldn't...right" Vanitas said with a cracked smirk

'Well anyways I might as well just search for him' Vanitas thinks to himself

He kept walking through the streets of Altus Paris for a while when suddenly someone pulled him into a small alley
Vanitas couldn't do anything besides silently screaming like a scaredy cat

"Oh Noé it's you I thought-"
When suddenly Noé pushed his claws into him and made Vanitas silently breakdown

"Why-...?"

"Tell me why...I thought we...I gave you permission to kill me so I should have expected this I guess...after all no one is different...you know all to well this is not how I meant it though...I meant for you to stay with me until the end...until there is no turning back...until there is no other way...but you just treated this promise like trash...just why...why...why...Noé why would you do this to me...after everything you said...after you silently and slowly made me trust you...a Vampire an Archiviste even...why would you do this" Vanitas whispers his pain and collapsing lungs keeping him from screaming it all out loud while tears silently streamed down his face...soul totally devastated even more than it already was...Vanitas didn't even know that was possible...he sunk deeper until falling to the ground still grabbing onto Noés pants like a lifeline

"Tell me...please...I at least deserve to know the reason" Vanitas says eyes shaking and tears still rolling...Vanitas knew all too well it's not because of the physical pain...it's because Noé crushed the last bit of his soul that was still hoping.
His eyes lost all his glow already...looking pale and dead while tears were rolling out of them drop by drop

"Hahaha you can wait until forever for his reply...he is not able to"

"Mikhail?!"

"I knew you would come here for research...so I used the situation. Last time I failed to end you two but this time I shall use him to end you...brother this time it's him who is hypnotised and controlled...how is it to taste your own medicine...to die by the hands of the person you trust the most...he is fulfilling your wish so you should be happy...oh wait you can't because you didn't achieve your goals yet...this is my revenge...this is what you get for picking him over me...for not helping me to bring back Luna...die" Mikhail historically says

"Luna won't be the real Luna anymore you can't bring back the dead" Vanitas whispers

"Oh shut up...Noé end him...he tried to do the same to you too this is your revenge as well...end him...now"

Vanitas looks up at Noé with his remaining strength...eyes still wet...undeniable hurt...

Noé bows down...attempting to kill him with his claws

"Noé please stop...if you are still in there...if you hear me...then please don't let this happen...we are partners...I have faith in you...you reminded me of the beautiful things in life...I said I accept you...the quirky you...I miss that you now...moreover I know you will regret this..." Vanitas whispers coughing up blood

Noés claws only an inch away

"I trust you...!!!" Vanitas screams with his last energy

Vanitas prepared himself to die closing his eyes when suddenly nothing was happening

He slowly opened them just to see Noé has stopped himself

"Mikhail will you ever stop interfering with us...leave us alone...he is your brother for gods sake...how dare you...how dare you using me to kill him" Noé screams

"Tch what is wrong with you two why can you both break this kind of hypnosis...seems like I failed again...well this was anyways just to kill some time...so I will take my leave now..." Mikhail said disappearing into the shadows

"Noé..." Vanitas whispers

Noé looks down into Vanitas face feeling sorry at the sight

"Noé you are back...I'm glad...I really am...I don't wanna die yet...I wanna reach my goals and I want you to be part of that journey...I want you to be there until my very end...I want you to give me a peaceful death if that ever should be needed..."

"Shhh" Noé interrupts him kneeling down and placing a finger on Vanitas mouth
"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry Vanitas...I didn't want this...I couldn't do anything against it...please at least don't talk this much it's hard for you to...it's unhealthy..."

"I forgive you Noé...mainly because this wasn't your fault...I can't blame you for something someone else made you do...that would be stupid and I'm not that stupid you know..." Vanitas whispers pushing Noés hand away from his mouth

"But I still feel miserable..." Noé admits

"I will survive...you didn't kill me...it wasn't your fault...we will be fine...I'm still entrusting you with my life or should I say death...in short...nothing changed..."

"At least let me help you...I gotta take care of you now...I gotta take responsibility for your wounds...I will take you back to the hotel and help you get back up on your feet...ok?"

"I cant walk anyways...so do as you please"

Noé slowly lifted Vanitas body up and carefully placed his head close to his chest. After a while Vanitas felt wet drops on his face

"It's raining?" Vanitas says looking up
just to discover it was in fact Noés tears

Vanitas slowly looks down again...

"I forgive you" was all he managed to say before he lost consciousness and dozed off in Noés arms

Vanitas slowly starts opening his eyes as he was reminded by the sun it's morning or at least some sort of daytime...surprised at what he saw...Noé was sitting on the floor...his head on Vanitas mattress...arms hanging down like they were numb
Oh what a sight

"Noé wake up" Vanitas says slightly pinching him

Noé slowly opened his eyes

"Vanitas you are awake...!" Noé almost screams

"Chill...yes what time is it anyways...how long have I slept"

"Almost 2 days"

"2...days..."

"Yeah..."

"I still can't get up...everything still hurts"

"I figured that already...I hit a very sensitive spot...it's not dangerous anymore though...But still I'm sorry"

"Cut it out...come here"

Noé stared confused...when he realized what Vanitas meant...he stood up and laid down next to him

"No rooftop talks today?" Noé asks

"There is no need...we settled everything already....No rooftop talks today"

"I suppose you are right"

They dozed off again arm in arm as Noé made a hug pillow out of Vanitas for who knows how many times
