Vanitas and Noé

One Night Kiss

'I really can't sleep'

It was a rather beautiful warm night. But as always Vanitas couldn't sleep. He wasn't thinking about the past. He also wasn't thinking about any cases. He couldn't sleep because of a certain Vampire...Not that he knew Noé was the reason for his insomnia this time.

As always he went out the window and on the rooftop

'The stars are quite pretty tonight' Vanitas thought looking at the stars for a while more cheeks slowly blushing

'No way...what did I just think?!' He screamed internally and jumped to his feet

'Why in the world would I ever think the stars look quite pretty...." Visible disgust on his face

He calmed down and decided to move back indoors...the further away from the stars the better. Out of sight out of mind.

He grinned with approval of his own thought.

"Vanitas have you been out late at night again?" A sleepy Noé asked

"Keep sleeping Noé" Vanitas says back bluntly...

Vanitas walks to his bed. Suddenly he heard a weird noise and turned around towards Noé.

'He dropped his pillow...again'

Vanitas walked over and picked it up. He stood there for a while not exactly sure where to put it now so he decided to just put it behind Noé to not wake him up.

He extended his arms and put the pillow at Noés back. He moved back and looked at Noés face...he kept staring for a while. Eyes slightly moving while he looked at Noé like he would be a precious gem.

Sudden realization hit him...

'Woah...Woaaah...no...absolutely not...this is so awkward I want the ground to swallow me whole...' He once again internally screamed

"Vanitas...what is it?"

'Of course this idiot had to wake up at a time like this...' Visible disgust on his face once again

"Yeah everything is fine" Vanitas said Turing around.

Noé saw him walking towards his bad laying down and putting the blanket over his head. Although he was confused he decided he is too tired now and just slept away once again.

'It can't be the reason why I can't sleep is Noé? Can it be? Am I perhaps...no I can't be...I certainly can't be in love with Noé...!? Or am I?" Vanitas thought

He remembered all the good and bad memories...they have been through quite a lot of things.

"I'm Noé I'm not just any Vampire"

"Vanitas what is Love"

"I will never set you free"

"We can do it!"
"As long as we are together you mean?"

"If I can wish for something...If I can decide how I die...then I want Noé to do it."

"I'm sorry I acted too hasty...no actually I acted too slow"

Vanitas started to blush more and more...

'I'm...in love with Noé' he thought to himself putting a hand over his eyes.

Vanitas was so exhausted of this internal constant conversation he had with himself that eventually even he drifted off to sleep.

One hour later he woke up again startled by a loud noise.

"Noé?"

"Oh Vanitas....Im sorry I woke you up didn't I?"

"Yes you did you idiot."

"I fell out of bed again and now I'm tangled up in my blanket. I'm sorry...after you finally could sleep..." Noé said making a sad face

Vanitas walked over to help Noé back up and untangle him.

"You should be sorry but it's fine cause it's to be expected knowing you" Vanitas said smiling at Noé

Noés eyes widen

"Vanitas? Is something the matter?"

"Huh why?" Vanitas asked confused

"Because they way you are looking at me...well it's quite I don't know...it's like longing..."

'Oh no! Did I really give off such an expression. This is just great it came to the point where I can't control my expressions anymore...at this rate even Noé will figure it out'

"Oh I guess I just Must be very tired..." Vanitas said

"Oh well then we should go back to sleep"

Vanitas just stood there in shook...

'No way...' he thought but then again Noé was kinda dumb so he shouldn't be surprised but then why does it make him that angry...

"Goodnight Vanitas" Noé said turning around walking towards his bed

"Well obviously not! It's because I FELL IN LOVE WITH YOU!!! YOU IDIOT" Vanitas screamed

Both of them just standing there in equal shock

'Huh in love with me? Huh?'

'Oh my god...what- how- I screamed it out loud cause I was mad. I'm done for'

"You are what?"

"Umm Noé listen...I don't know what to say" Vanitas said blushing

"Since when?"

"Ever since that time you asked me what Love is and we were dancing you quite fascinated me"

"But..."

"I know I should have told you. But honestly until today I didn't even know it myself..."

"I thought you were acting quite weird...now that you mention it"

"...Noé can you answer me? It's awkward enough..."

"Answer you? About what?"

Vanitas just looked at him flabbergasted...

'He is doing that on purpose...he must be doing it on purpose...'

"About my confession...don't make me repeat it" Vanitas says looking away embarrassed

"Hahaha I'm just messing with you...of course I know" Noé said rather amused

'I knew it...not even he can be this dumb' Vanitas thought rolling his eyes

Noé suddenly walked over to him.

'Woah what's he up to now'

"About your confession..." Noé said

Slowly taking Vanitas hand while lifting up his head and kissing him gently

They stood there for quite a while arm in arm. Noé was the first one to break the kiss

"I hope this answer is enough for you" Noé said looking at Vanitas rather puffy lips

"Mhm quite" Vanitas said leaning in for another kiss.
