Warren.
I didn't feel good.
As I stood on the beach, the very smell was making me feel uncomfortable. Usually the smell of the sea and seaweed isn't a problem...
I don't know why it was so prevalent now...maybe it's just more rotten.
"You don't look good."
Looking over at Ender, I see him standing at the edge of the cliff overlooking the path that would take us to the very bottom. It was a separate beach from everything else and was even near some mountains. It was beautiful, but its beauty is being covered by how shitty I feel.
"Thanks." I mumble, running my fingers through my hair as I nod down. "The smell is horrible. You're a werewolf, tell me the smell of the seaweed isn't disgusting."
Ender sniffs the air, glancing back at me and I wait. Only for him to chuckle as he shrugs.
"It's not that bad. Yeah, it kinda stinks, but so does the ocean. Kinda has that pungent ocean water smell and old seaweed scent. I mean, I don't really see that much seaweed down there so I don't know what you're smelling." Ender states, grinning at someone who was walking past us; but their eyes lingered on him for forever. "I mean, I'm down to stay or leave. Doesn't matter to me-."
"We're staying." I grab his hand fast, and I start to pull him down the pathway.
As we went down I covered my mouth because the scent was getting stronger. I don't know why it was getting to me like this!
When we get to the bottom I look at him and saw him raise his eyebrow. I face back forward fast, waving my hands over the area.
"Find a place for us to lay." I tell him, and he grabs the towel and begins to walk off.
I just continued to stand here because as I watched the water crash onto the shore...it kind of made me feel some kind of way. I was quick to crouch before it because the discomfort was rising. My hand covers my nostrils because I couldn't keep smelling this. I might throw up on this beach.
"Is the seaweed that bad?"
I look when Ender was back beside me. Standing back up, I follow him to wear he set the towel. It wasn't even on the sand, but on a higher elevation. On the edge of a cliff that was right over the water. It wasn't too high or too low.
Sitting down on it, I groan only for Ender to frown at me still.
"What...is wrong with your face?" I question him.
"What's wrong with you? If you knew you're easily sickened by the water smell then why'd you have us come to Hawaii? We're surrounded by water all the time-."
"I'm not...easily sickened by water. No, I'm not! I don't know what the problem is and it's so fucking irritating!" I snap, but not at him.
I lay back against the wall, fanning my face now.
"So many people here are looking at you. Don't they know staring is rude?" I sneer, shaking my head. "I mean, you're stared at wherever we go; but this is on a whole other level."
"What? You're more jealous?" He mocks me.
I don't say anything because he already can probably assume that answer.
"I wouldn't fret about their attention towards me. It's very...it's not in the way you're thinking. They don't want me, per say, they just like what they see-."
"So basically checking you out? Like I said, they are staring."
"At least it's not the way you were looking at me when we first met." He snorts. I sigh because I guess that's a good point.
