We all stood outside in the cold. It was 10 am, but the morning still had that piercing feel to it. I exhaled and steam returned back to my face. God, how cold was it?
"Good morning Campers! I hope you enjoyed your breakfast! Today is gonna be a clean up day. Two hours to pack up your stuff, clean and wash your cabins and to be ready to go! Everyone return back and start to pack up..now before you all go I just have some things to go through" Emily stood up on a rock and started to speak. Open ears, we stood. Two hours to get our cabins clean..plenty of time.
Rightttt-
I turn and look at Michael. He seems..okay.
Just okay.
His posture was much more tensed than usual. He was much more calm though. I took his hand and squeezed it, looking back at Emily. Michael squeezed it back and I sighed. Emily continued.
"Doesn't she ever shut up.." I whisper.
"Honestly" Michael whispered back.
"Okay! Enough talking from me, return back to your cabins and start!" Emily concluded and hopped off the rock. We all nodded and walked back to our cabins.
"The day hasn't even started and i'm already tired" Kasy complained as I opened the door. I chuckled.
"I mean, you did wake up at 6 am" I remarked.
"Well that- that doesn't mean I should be tired" Kasy replied, walking in.
"sure" I smiled and went to the bathroom. I should pack up my things first. I open the cabinet and started to take some stuff out.
"Hold on I should get my bag-.." I stood up and walked to my bed- more like Michaels bed but eh. I stand there and gaze around for my large suitcase.
"errrr- Kase" I call out
"WHAT" Kasy replies, yelling from her bed.
"Wheres my suitcase?" I yelled back
"I dunno?" Kasy replied.
"...well then where would it be.." I whisper.
"Looking for this?" I heard Michaels voice from behind.
"Oh- I really didn't see that- " I turn and see Michael pointing at my case.
"Thank you though" I smiled and walked over to him.
"You doing okay?" I whisper, making sure that no one can hear but Michael.
"Yea, I did get a text from mother saying he's doing much better" Michael smiled weakly.
"Thats good to hear" I smiled back and took my suitcase out with a shove. It was behind my bed, yes my actual one before someone or something soiled it. I'm quickly stopped by Michael.
"Y/n- I really owe you one" He puts his hand on my suitcase, stopping me in my tracks.
"Honestly Mike, anything for a friend like you" I smiled.
"..." Michael paused
"what?" I tilted my head
"Did you just friendzone me.." Michael squinted.
"HELP??- NO WHAT?" I replied.
"WHY- why would I friendzone you?" I laughed
"Oh so you wouldn't friendzone me.." Michael smirked.
"wh-" I stuttered.
"sooo this is a confession hmmm?" Michael chuckled.
"..you wish" I stuck out my tongue and pulled my suitcase with a heave. Pretty sure everything is already in there..just gotta pack my pillow and stuff. It drops to the ground with a thud and I open it.
"phew.." I huffed and took a plastic bag out. Good thing I packed some. I walked back to the bathroom and took my toiletries out.
"err okay..shampoo, conditioner, soap..tooth brush" I counted through the items.
"...mmmm..wheres my perfume?" I squinted, looking back into the cabinet. I peered inside and found nothing. Well not my perfume..everyones elses stuff was there.
"what the hell?? where could it be?" I groaned. I looked in my bag where everything else was.
"nothing in there.." I huffed. I came to the conclusion of just giving up and accepting fate.
"Dammit that was my favourite perfume..I always used it" I sighed, speaking to myself. I got up and walked back to my suitcase. I neatly tucked my bag away and focused on fitting my pillow inside.
"alright..lemme just-" I pick up my pillow and squish my pillow in, making sure to take up all the empty spaces.
"That- should do it-" I pant. I close my suit case. 'Huh, looks like it'll close pretty quickly' I let out a relieved sigh, i really didn't want to struggle with the whole zipper thing. I took one of the zippers and it went all around.
"Gosh, that was easy!" I smiled. I went outside and picked up some of the cleaning products which were issued out to us. A bucket, spray, paper towels and a sponge was sent out to each cabin.
"Not bad" I shrugged and took the supplies. I heaved them onto the table and begun spraying the different spots that I knew we probably touched. Door handles, the mirror, the bed posts and you know general stuff. I kept the table last though.
I was up to the bed posts when I heard someone sounding like their struggling.
"I swear to god if this doesn't go zip up-"
I was busy cleaning so I didn't really know what was happening around me. I smiled and walked to the end of the beds. I chuckled when I saw Michael struggling.
"Need a hand pretty boy?" I leaned on the bed post and Michael immediately got up, as if embarrassed.
"Big and strong Michael?..struggling with his suitcase?.." I shook my head, sighing dramatically.
"Aren't I the damsel in distress, and now the big and brave knight needs help" I giggled.
"Y/N- SHUT UP-" He whispered, looking around. I shook my head, smirking.
"No ones hereee, don't be so embarrassed oh brave knight" I went to his suitcase and pushed my entire body weight to it so it would squish under my pressure.
"Don't just stand there! Zip her up already!" I said, nearly breaking a sweat.
"Oh- uh- yea" Michael zipped the bag up and I get off the suitcase.
"That wasn't so baddd" I smiled.
"I- I didn't even need help" Michael stuttered, his hand on his neck. He kept looking away, not making eye contact.
"Awrrr- my little knight is all shy hmmm?" I smirked
"Little?" Michael looked back.
"welll you did need help with your suitcase" I winked
