"Alright Michael- maybe it's time to go home" I looked down at my phone and saw the time. It was already 5 pm.

"Seriously?" He scoffed and looked around. The park that once barely had anyone in it was teeming with families and children. "Look how busy it is though- it's not even late"

"Mike my parents are literally gonna freak out if I'm not home soon" I tapped my phone. After our walk we decided to head back to the car and go somewhere else.

We didn't go anywhere.

"Let's just chill here" Michael brushed me off with his hand. I put my hands on my hips and scoffed. "Michael you've said that 5 times today."

"And? Aren't you having a good time with me?" Michael scowled. To be honest, I was, but I don't  think I can handle my parents questioning where I went. Didn't the office call them about the Katrina situation?

"Mike-" i was about to continue my sentence before my phone rang. "Speaking of my parents" I rolled my eyes and answered the call. Michael nodded and took a couple steps away from me so I could have some privacy.

"Heyy motherrr-" I chuckled. I tried to sound confident but my tone already gave me away.

"Y/n where are you?" Her voice rang through my ears. Oh boy.

"I'm- at the park-! with my friends.. aha" I grimaced. That was so stupid.

"With your friends?" I heard her scoff. It wasn't in an annoyed tone though. More like she was mocking me.

"I thought he was more than a friend" She added. I gasped. I heard her chuckle.

"It's fine. Just come home by 7." She whispered something about 'as long as you're happy'.

"Wow I- I was not expecting that" I remarked.

Since when was she so chill about Michael?

"Yea well I was young like you once, but no sleeping over." She gave me a stern tone and I quickly reassured her that no one's sleeping over at anyone's house.

"I'm not that down bad.." I whispered. Michael was on his phone so I don't think he heard anything.

"Uh huh. Okay your fathers home so I better go. I'll send him over if you're not home soon." She cleared her throat.

"Jesus- okay okay see you soon" I sighed and laughed. I hang up and walk over to the bench where Michael was sitting. I sat down to him.

"Hm? What did she say?" He looked up and turned his phone off.

"You're ass was saved today. She said I could stay for a bit. I have to be home by 7 though" I leaned back on the bench and crossed my arms. A couple of kids on scooters drove past, laughing.

"Ah see! Even she agrees we should hang out" Michael smirked.

"Mike she didn't even know we're here together." I said.

"Oh. Is she cool with me now?" He smiled weakly.

"Surprisingly yes." I think she really is though..

"Right. Cause I remember her being literally on fire when she saw us together in the car" He gave me a nervous chuckle.

"Oh not that day" I groaned. I cringed, remembering the fight we had.

"She really did have a problem with you" I snickered. "But I think you two are fine now" I shrugged.

"Good" he looked down at his phone and gave a long and heavy sigh.

"What's wrong?" I tilted my head towards the phone and Michael quickly turned it off.
