Y/N was minutes away from her house and Wanda and Carol were bare on the couch. Carol woke up and looked around in shock.

She saw her associate laying on the couch asleep while clothes were everywhere. She picked up her phone, and it was filled with missed calls and unread texts, all from her wife.

When she read the message that said her wife was on her way home, panic ran through Carol's body.

She ran to Wanda and woke her up. "You need to leave !"

"W-what ?" Wanda said half asleep.

"Y/N's on her way here right now. You need to go !" Carol exclaimed, fixing the place and throwing Wanda her clothes.

"Shit! I thought she was going to be in London for another week." Wanda mentioned, quickly putting on her clothes.

"I thought so too." Carol said, gesturing Wanda to the front door.

"Ok, this never happened. Are we clear ?" Carol asked sternly.

"Yes." Wanda replied in annoyance. Apparently, everyone just wants her to be the one-night stand and forget about it the next morning.

Once Wanda was out the door and Carol continued clearing the space, making sure things didn't look out of place, the doorbell rang.

Carol widened her eyes and looked in the mirror before opening the door.

"Y/N!" Carol insincerely smiled at the presence of her wife.

"You're home early." Carol helped the woman with her luggage.

"Yeah, I am. I just couldn't stay another without you." Y/N made up, while discretely looking around her house.

"Well, I'm glad you're home." Carol hugged Y/N. The hug was tense and felt different.

"I'll freshen up first before I talk about my trip, ok ?" Y/N suggested.

"Yeah, sure." Carol said.

Y/N went upstairs while Carol stayed down. The reasons for why they didn't confront each other about their infidelity is unknown. A mix of emotions that stopped them from bringing up the topic. The sight of their spouse that changed their plan.

Y/N was on the verge of tears as she undressed herself before putting on another pair of clothes.

When she walked to her bed stand, she noticed an object on the table.

She picked it up and saw a ring. It was one that she saw before, but she was more than just sure that it didn't belong to her.

She knew exactly who it belonged to.

While Y/N pondered on the jewelry, Carol was downstairs when she heard Y/N's phone ring.

It was on the entry table, Y/N must've forgotten to take it with her. Carol noticed the caller's name.

Natasha Romanoff.

With a bit of hesitation, Carol picked it up and waited for Natasha to say something.

The conversation went something in between Natasha saying how sorry she was for getting mad at Y/N and that she was always there for her. Then she continued to tell Y/N that she loved her.

By that line, Carol dropped the call and was practically hyperventilating. Anger and pain quickly rushed through her body.

Y/N was scrambling through the photo book she had in her drawer. She already knew who the ring belonged to, but she needed to see it on the person.

Her hands were shaking as she turned each page of the book until she stopped on one picture.

There it was, the ring was clearly on the person's hand. The picture was Y/N and Valkyrie at her birthday party last year.

Y/N was trembling in anger, shock, anxiety, and boiling rage. Her chest was rising up and down as she looked at the picture that was framed beside her, a picture with her and Valkyrie.

Carol and Y/N were under the same roof, and they were dangerously close to an outrage.

Y/N practically ran downstairs and met her eyes with her wife.

Carol was trying her hardest to not say anything to Y/N because she knew the words that were going to come out of her mouth were going to be far from kind.

Their eye contact was a mix of slight fury and fake sweet.

Before they could say anything else, the doorbell rang and their heads turned to the door.

Y/N opened the door while Carol was behind her.

"Hi, lovebirds!" Their neighbor happily greeted them.

"Agatha, what a surprise..." Y/N did her best to put a smile on her face.

"I was just gardening when I saw a beautiful set of flowers.

Then I thought, there are no other couples who'd appreciate these more than you two." Agatha showed the tulips in her hand.

"Oh, wow. That's so sweet of you, Agatha.

But are you sure-" "Of course! They fit you two perfectly. I mean, you two are a bunch of sweethearts."

Agatha interrupted Carol and continued talking about things they were far from interested in knowing.

"Ok! Thank you, Agatha." Y/N grabbed the tulips and ended the conversation with the nosy neighbor.

"You're welcome!" Agatha shouted once the door was shut on her.

Y/N sighed in relief and smiled at the flowers. Besides from roses, tulips were their favorite. Tulips were a symbol of perfect and deep love.

She grabbed the vase from the living room and noticed the dead flowers in them.

"You should've replaced these." Y/N said, throwing away the dead flowers.

While she filled the vase with water, she noticed a crack on it. There was a missing piece that broke from the vase.

Y/N didn't mention it to Carol and kept silent.

Before Y/N could say anything else, Carol ran upstairs, ignoring the woman.

Y/N sighed and walked to the living room to place the jar on the table. That's when she noticed the broken piece of porcelain on the floor.

She picked it up and aligned it with the vase, and it fit perfectly.

While the sick instinct came back, she noticed a piece of clothing in the corner of her eye.

It was barely under the couch, but not too noticeable.

She picked it up and felt sick. It was a bra which she was sure did not belong to her.

In fact, she knew who it exactly belonged to. She might've had one night with the woman, but her undergarments were something Y/N could recognize in a minute.

It belonged to Wanda Maximoff.

----------

That night, they didn't speak a word to one another besides the incomplete sentences.

When they went to bed, their backs faced each other, while their eyes were wide open.

Now they know the truth.

But they didn't confront each other. I wonder why.

Who might crack first ?

DANVERS LLC. will be holding an event for the successful expansion of their corporation.

What may happen then ?

"When a relationship is over, leave. Don't continue watering dead flowers."

A/N - Hi lovelies :) How has it been ? How are you guys doing today ? I had to add Agatha into this chapter, she's definitely giving that neighbor vibe. Get ready for next chapter cause it will be a whole crazy roller-coaster. Have a great day/night :)
