Ten long-lasting, loving years for two imperfect people. Today is their day, a day when they will celebrate all that they've surpassed.

"Happy anniversary..." Y/N greeted Carol, as they got ready for the party.

Carol smiled at Y/N through the mirror as she walked towards her with a box in her hand.

"This is for you..." Carol handed her the box. "I thought we were doing presents later."

"I know, but I want you to have this before anyone sees it." Carol said.

Y/N opened the box to see a necklace with an infinity sign as a pendant. She smiled at the gift, loving the fact that their initials were engraved at the back of the pendant.

Carol helped her put it on, wrapping it around her neck and hooking it. They looked at each other through the mirror, eyes saying more than their unspoken words.

"Take love, multiply it by infinity and take it to the depths of forever, and you still have only a glimpse of how I feel for you." Carol quoted a line from a romantic film.

Y/N hugged Carol, wanting to stay in that position forever. Despite everything that happened, she still felt hopeful for them.

"Well in that case, here's your present." Y/N cheekily revealed a wrapped box.

Carol laughed at Y/N's sneaky look. Once she opened it, she loved what she saw. It was a pair of rings and a necklace.

The necklace was a dainty moon shaped pendant and the rings were little stars that would wrap around her fingers.

"You once told me that you loved me to the moon and back, you also told me that our love story was written in the stars..." Y/N explained the representation of her gift as she placed the rings in Carol's fingers.

Carol grabbed Y/N's face, pulling her in for a sweet, passionate kiss.

"Happy anniversary, my love..." Carol kissed Y/N's hands, as Y/N eye's sparkled in love.
