Infidelity stained their sheets, bringing home their dirty lies and secrets. Saying 'I love you' like it was some sort of poison to the truth. No amount of 'I'm sorry' or 'I won't do it again' can make them forget. Because once a cheater always a repeater. And even when they forgave and moved on, hoping for the best, they still continued.
Before they knew it, they were back on square one, finding themselves in other people's beds. Those apologies meant nothing when they repeated themselves, slowly losing the worth of their words.
In the eyes of many, Y/N Danvers and Carol Danvers are the match made in heaven. For a moment, it seemed true, it felt true, but then came the heavy obstacles in many relationships.
The temptations. The opportunities. The desires.
Natasha gave Y/N what she wanted, she endured and risked to let Y/N have a part of her life where she'd be free. Then came the time when all of Natasha's sins caught up to her, ruining her career, relationship, and reputation. All because of some woman who selfishly fucked her over.
Introduced to a flirty, captivating, and smart girl, we all thought she was just an employee. Then the secret of Wanda's true identity came out, she wasn't a naïve, gullible, or innocent girl, after all. Her seductive, and yet manipulative traits covered for how much of a vile woman she truly is.
Friendship, one that lasted over a decade, but quickly died after a clash over a woman. Valkyrie was blinded with what she thought was love. I like to call her story Crazy, Stupid, Love.
As affairs and mistresses added to the secrets of Y/N and Carol, their breaking point came where all truths came out.
No matter how you truly try to hide it, dirty little secrets always comes out.
And even with that, they couldn't seem to stop themselves from opportunities of lust. What's worse is that they didn't seem to see the wrong in their actions.
It was even portrayed as mistakes when we all know cheating is a choice and not a mistake, it isn't an accident when you had clear intentions of coming home to lie to your wife's face.
Their marriage was perfect, there was nothing to worry about. Carol and Y/N should've been content, but humans have a way of wanting more.
I don't want normal and simple and easy. I want painful, difficult, devastating, life-changing, extraordinary love. - SCANDAL
That quote explains this book. Those memories of pure love and bright joy were heart-warming, but it wasn't enough. An enticing, thrill, and uncertain story tends to grasp even more attention rather than a fairytale of love.
Yet, Carol and Y/N Danvers fought for their relationship because those ten years consisted of love. Despite those moments of temptations, they would always go back to the one they're certain of.
Sadly, it was too late for them to realize that. The promises that they swore on and vows that they pledged on slowly lost their worth when their actions started to speak louder than those sweet nothings.
Promises are worse than lies because you didn't just make them believe, you made them hope.
To answer the question, is it a scandal to love, it is.
Carol would spend her life supporting Y/N, breaking her own morals and ruining her own reputation if it was what meant forever for her and her wife.
Y/N, on the other hand, would be by her wife's side even when the whole world despised them, she would give up her integrity for her wife's love. It's a Sacrifice to Love.

Love who you want to love, be who you want to be. I will love you either way.
Kudos for making it to the end of SCANDAL!
This has a very short amount of chapters just like DESIRES, but it definitely has a lot twists and turns that makes up for the amount of chapters.
Thank you for reading and supporting this book. It was definitely a whole rollar coaster of emotions, but I'm glad that you're still here. Thank you so much! Love you, darlings <3
Till the next book ;)
