Once again, Y/N and Carol's marriage suffered the consequences of their lies and secrets. It's not the lack of love, or lack of happiness that's killing their relationship. It's the lack of trust and honesty...

They were back to square one, giving each other the silent treatment and ignoring one another's presence.

We can't blame Y/N for her unforgiveness towards Carol. I would be mad too.

But in Carol's defense, she had the right intentions, but wrong approach.

This secret definitely made it in their Top 10 Blindsiding Lies.

Y/N told Carol that she needed time to process everything, and Carol understandably obliged. Seeing Y/N in that state made Carol regret even having the thought of hiring someone to see if her wife would cheat instead of communicating.

In spite of Carol's understanding, she couldn't stand another day when Y/N wouldn't even look at her.

"Good morning..." Carol greeted Y/N, who entered their kitchen.

Y/N walked pass her to grab her cup of coffee, not acknowledging her wife's greeting.

Carol watched Y/N, seeing her go through her phone and just drinking a beverage.

"Are you going to eat anything ?" Carol asked, concerned.

Y/N shook her head, still focused on the phone.

Carol sighed, getting up and washing her dish before grabbing a cookie.

She walked towards Y/N and grabbed her empty palm, placing the cookie on it. "Eat."

"I know you're mad, but please take care of yourself." Carol advised, waiting for Y/N to take a bite.

Y/N knew her wife wasn't going to go away if she didn't eat the cookie, so irritatingly she ate it.

Once Y/N obliged to eating, she got up and grabbed her bag. They were going to work separately, and lately they've been getting busier and busier, leading them to barely seeing each other.

"I'm going to meet a client for dinner, so don't wait up. Unless, you want to hire someone to see if I'm lying about that too..." Y/N coldly said.

Carol replied with a pitiful ok before smiling at Y/N. She walked out, leaving Carol to feel awful... again.

We all know how true the seven year itch can be, and they wouldn't be in this situation if that belief wasn't true. But it seems like they're reliving that year all over again, but this time it's even worse.

-----------

Y/N's POV -

I know I told Carol that I was meeting a client for dinner, but I lied.

If I told her who I was going to meet, she would've opposed, but I need to see her.

Ignoring Carol has been the most challenging thing to do, but I can't forgive her just yet.

As much as I want to hug her and tell her that I'm sorry and that I understand why she did that, I can't.

So here I am... standing in front of this person's door.

With a knock, the door opened.

"Y/N ?" She said shocked, curiosity filling her face.

"What are you doing here ?" She asks.

"You need to tell me everything, Wanda." I pushed her door open, walking in without hesitation.

She shut her door before walking after me.
