We arrived at Animal Kingdom and I took the lead again heading straight to Expedition Everest. I spotted Malone talking to a cast member and almost ran up to her when I heard Jessica's voice behind me. I froze with horror and my feet seemed frozen to the ground beneath my soles.

Jessica Peterson: Well, Well well. Looks like you are alive. I am deeply surprised that you are up and alive.

Malone walked up to us as soon as she saw Jessica behind me. I remained turned around afraid to face her. Malone stood in front of me and the trio just stood absolutely confused at what was going on at that moment.

Malone: Of course, she is, Jessica. It'll take more than that to take her out.

I slowly turned around and stepped to where Scott was. He was confused but then took up a defensive stance. He leaned to whisper: "Kailyn, you're okay. I won't let her hurt you if that is what you are scared about."

I was able to relax and leaned into him. Kirstin came to my side but Scott made her get behind him to protect her. Kirstin then pushed past him and stood behind Malone. I grabbed onto Scott's arm. A small noise escaped my mouth. Scott then released his arm from my grasp and put it around me pulling me closer to him.

Kirstin: I don't think that a stress fracture is life-threatening.

I almost laughed at the way that she said it. It was kinda funny that she had just stood Jessica up. But would she regret that decision?

Jessica: Shut up. This doesn't concern you.

Scott then left my side and gently pushed Kirstin back towards me and Mitch who was now in the same position that Scott was.

Scott: Excuse me? What did you say to her?

Jessica: This is not your business either. You stay out of this.

Scott: This involves us as much as it does Kailyn. You have no clue what we have been through.

He paused and then I noticed that his tone changed into a sarcastic tone.

Scott: Oh I'm sorry if I thought that your dad almost killed Kirstin. I must be mistaken.

Jessica: Half of it was her fault anyway.

Scott: Are you stupid?

I knew that Jessica was going to respond to his rhetorical question. So I allowed myself to laugh quietly.

Jessica: No I'm not.

You must be if you answer a rhetorical question. I thought about saying, but when I thought about it I would probably pay for it later.

Scott: You must be if you think that it was her own fault she got a knife thrust into her leg or a pot of scalding hot water flung onto her back.

Jessica: The water was her fault. She should have been more careful.

Are you trying to push him? I wanted to say but again I chickened out too scared of what would happen to me or them. I looked at Scott and saw that he was shifting as if he was getting angrier at Jessica by the minute.

Scott: If I thrust you against a stove would you keep yourself upright? Tell me. Go on.

Answer him, Jessica! Just do it. I wanted to tell her when she remained quiet. Scott's fists clenched. And I could see in his eyes that he hadn't gotten over what Kirstin had gone through.

Scott: I knew it. You can't answer that question. Kirstin was in the hospital for a long time.

He stopped and turned his head away. His eyes were full of grief. What had really happened in the hospital?
