"Seeing you again is a change to eternity... and a very nice surprise."
the shogun felt her eyes had swollen but her hands wouldn't move. she slowly blinked out the tears and eyes adjusting to the sunlight beaming into the bedroom. in front of her laid a beautiful kitsune sleeping soundly like a goddess, with her disheveled pink hair tangling with her god. oh, how gorgeous was she.
"do you have a habit of staring at a sleeping person?" miko smiled, her eyes still closed shut. she pulled ei closer to her chest and inhaled her sweet scent. ei's in her loving arms and she couldn't ask for more. this happiness would last her an eternity after all. she has expressed her love everyday, in every type of form; to show how dear ei was to her; to show how much she loved her; to show how fucking grateful she was to have such an amazing lover like ei. However, it wasn't long until she heard ei's silent cries rumbling against her chest.
"what's wrong, sweetheart?" miko cooed, opening her eyes. ei stayed silent and continued to sob, "everything will be alright, yeah? i'm here."
ei pulled away and she stared into miko's god's forsaken divination violet eyes, "i had a dream where you-" she paused, unsure of whether or not she wanted to tell miko. they had swore to not keep burdens from each other (you kept me like a promise but i kept you like an oath) but the woman in front of her radiated such genuine curiosity that she couldn't refuse. "-you told me that i'm insufferable and i make you feel so unloved that you feel like you're not enough for me. you hated the fact that i keep shutting myself out and you repeated over and over again that you hate me. then you said you-" miko shushed her and sat up.
she shook the crying shogun slightly, "listen to me, you had done more than enough for me, ei. god, my god, i couldn't have asked for a better lover. you're insufferable? you would never be. i love you. you know that i do, i will always and always love the shit out of you. i love the fact that you tell me these things. you did the right thing, sweetheart." miko hugged a half sulken ei, "remember, you can take all the time you want. 500 years? that was nothing for me. i will always wait for you. even if you shut yourself out, i'll always be here ready for you to come to me. i'll repeat over and over again that i love you, darling, to eternity and more."
the shogun hadn't stopped crying, her insecurity had disguised as a nightmare. she knew miko loved her very much but a pinch of insecurity had stuck to her like a fool. the absurdity of the dream she had was enough to ruin her mood but miko's reassurance refreshed her a little.
yae pulled away abruptly, "now, dear, what else did i do? tell me everything" ei avoided the question like the plague. she wiped away her tears and glanced everywhere around the room. she was about to choke on air remembering what miko did. it was too ridiculous to be real. "you-" refusing to look at her face, she stared at her own lap, feeling her face redden. miko tilted her head adorably, making her fox ears twitch.
"you spat on me."
"pftt, like out of spite?"
ei covered her face, embarrassed, "probably."
miko found it amusing. she chuckled, "you know i would never do that to you." she flipped ei onto her back and whispered against her ear, "without consent, of course."
miko put her lips against the god of eternity and craved for more. a greedy kitsune, she was. she slid her hand under ei's top and caressed her bare breasts. they moaned together and slowly grind-
shit
"mamaaaa", a young boy was seen holding the door knob. haircut like a menace, he stood adorably in front of his mothers. in his tiny arms, held a pale yellow slime plushie that he got as a present from a certain traveller. his puffy eyes blinked at the scene in front of him.
his mothers, oh.
they were cuddling! how cute!
he couldn't care less.
"kuni-" yae began, approaching the nine year old. thank the archons no one was naked. "honey, aren't you supposed to be playing with aether?"
he rolled his eyes. "he's a bitch, that fucker kept crying."
ei peeked her redden face out of the bed sheets, eyes widening in shock. miko glanced at her and back at the threat to society. she could barely hold in her laugh, "kuni-" she choked out, "you can't say that, dear. you also cried."
kuni pointed at his peeking mother across the room, "but mama also cried."
smart little shit, ei thought. she motioned them to her and gave them a long hug. it was comforting to see everyone like this. better than her nightmare. better than her dream. her smartass child grinned happily at her and looked up, "mama, don't cry. i'll give you sweets."
she smiled back, tears almost rained down again but of joy this time,
"i love you."
"for eternity?"
"for eternity."
"for eternity!"
