{[43]} Progression to Perfection

May 29, 2023, 12:07pm, Platina's Base, Miryang, South Korea.

A faint, yet audible explosion is heard under Zeke and Sana's feet, the steel ground shaking as they stopped in their tracks briefly.

"Are we going to make it in time with the rest..?" Sana muttered. "This place is a maze. There are Koul'ins everywhere still."

"I can still sense the others around." Zeke replied. "But they're really faint. Plus, this place is too cold to even plow through with my flames without too much effort."

"Then let's go...!" Sana muttered as she began running to the corridors. "Hurry!"

Zeke immediately follows, wincing in the process. It seems that he truly hasnt recovered from his fight with Rozex, his cauterized wounds still stinging despite being sealed shut completely.

"Despite everything that has transpired, despite all these sacrifices and efforts, this war will still not end soon. We have to push on..." Zeke muttered.

[MAJOR EVENT: DESTROY KOUL'IN GENERAL PLATINA]

"... and I hope the cold will never freeze our wills at the end of it all."

Platina gets flung off the corner of the workshop, with Jihyo following her with unimaginable speed. Streaks of light eminate from her in rapid succession, a sign that she was unleashing all she had against the Koul'in General.

"Heaven's Descent!"

Jihyo performs a downward strike with no hesitation at all. Platina barely dodges her attack by dodging to the sidelines, yet the TWICE member keeps up to her within just a few seconds.

"Sunset Lumina!"

Jihyo swings in a crescent motion, unleashing a fierce, prismatic afterslash towards Platina. The general once again barely dodges, but in the process, some of her armor gets chipped off by the attack.

"Interesting... so this is the full power of a Manifest wielder!" Platina thought. "Never have I seen this much vigor in my experiments with the humans... experience is really the best tutor!"

Jihyo prepares to fixate her palm on the base of her blade. She then jumps forward to Platina.

"Flash Burst Horizon!"

Platina gets completely blinded as prismatic light floods the battlefield instantaneously. Mina gets blinded by the flash as well, forcing herself to sit and try to shake it off her eyes.

"Such technique warrants recognition!" Platina roared. "Blinding me and taking advantage of that to strike me down... excellent!"

Jihyo remains quiet, and just moves towards the General with blistering speed. As soon as she reached the appropriate distance, she swings her blade infront of Platina to strike her while she's blinded.

But then, Jihyo was surprised at Platina's next movements.

Closing her eyes, the general dodged the strike and gripped the blade of the Seraphim ever so tightly, trapping a shocked Jihyo in the process. Soon enough, the blinding lights fade.

"She... she saw my attack...?!" Jihyo gasped.

"You... I remember you. You were supposed to meet death by my hands. By Feurcleit's mercy, you were spared. And yet, here you are." Platina mutters. "With a powerful Manifest, at that. This is an interesting turn of events."
