Jihyo runs through the corridor leading to the facility exit. She busts through a steel double door leading to a hangar. She then witnesses, in the distance, four otherworldy armored caravans that were leaving the area, towards the thicket of forests in front of them.
The TWICE member doesnt hesitate to run towards the leaving caravans. She picks up a huge, otherworldly steel beam from the ground as she glows in crystalline might.
"UNGH!"
Jihyo fiercely grunts as she hurls the steel beam towards one of the escaping caravans. It strikes its back portion, grinding the whole vehicle to an absolute halt.
A Koul'in footsoldier comes of the damaged caravan and immediately shoots at Jihyo with a heavy otherworldy rifle. The TWICE member immediately places her blade infront of her body, generating a crystalline shield that protects her from the assault.
"Wielders have breached the facility, go, get out of here!" The soldier said as more of them go down and shoots Jihyo as well. The other four caravans made a run for it.
Jihyo gets a glimpse of the inside of the caravan, and sees a couple of survivors inside.
"So theyre really escaping with the captured survivors..." Jihyo muttered.
The TWICE member lets her guard down and charges towards the enemy with reckless abandon. She slams the first soldier full force, sending him crashing to the wall unconscious. She then twists her whole body, unleashing a fearsome slash that decimates the remaining soldiers.
Once she makes sure all of the enemies are down, Jihyo prys the door open with her bare hands. The survivors were shocked to see her freeing them.
"Hey..." Jihyo spoke softly. "You're safe now. Come on out, the others are outside!"
The survivors immediately gush out of the caravan. One of them hugs Jihyo briefly, thanking her repeatedly before joining the rest.
Zeke, Yejun, Cat, Bang Chan, Ryujin and Sana come out of the facility and witneses the surge of survivors fleeing outside, and sees Jihyo just standing at the doorway of the caravan, seemingly looking for Mina.
But she was not there.
"Jihyo-ya!" Sana exclaimed as Jihyo turns to her.
"Sana... you guys." Jihyo replied in a disappointed tone. "She isnt in this caravan. And the rest... they fled in different directions."
"We could still catch up with them." Cat said. "Those caravans look like they could go far, but they actually dont. At their maximum speed, they could go for only 60kph. The cars here in Korea can do much more than that."
"But how do we track them down, theyve already left!" Zeke asked.
"...I think I may have the solution to this." Ryujin replied.
The ITZY member walks towards the vehicle tracks in the snow, and taps a button on her wrist armor. Her hand glows in a faint blue color, and she presses her hand on the snow.
Slowly, the tracks on the snow begin emitting a faint blue aura, revealing each of the paths the three caravans took.
"Since when did you have that kind of ability in your armor, Ryujin?" Bang Chan gasps.
"You know very well that Hyungwon fixes my armor every once in a while after our fights, right? Recently, he discovered that this armor is modular in nature..."
"Modu...lar?" Sana asked with a curious look on her face.
"Modular means its something that can have additional attachments suited for different occassions."
