There was a certain, proud glint in Han Yejun's eyes as he confidently rushes to attack Kordaine with his mighty boomerang--- without doubt, without fail. It's as if he's excited to hit him in many different ways, patterns, and techniques; to gain insight and to further actualize his goal of being being the greatest Manifest wielder there is.

He has always been this way for his greatest goal isnt just to become the greatest Manifest wielder there is, but to become the greatest in everything, whatever it is.

From cooking, to first aid, to weightlifting, to even fixing computers... he wants to master everything, one task at a time. That kind of mindset brought him to great heights in life.

Due to the nature of his goal, he has developing a rasher, bolder, and unhinged personality, and with his rising ego and narcissism

At least, until the apocalypse.

Before the bombs befell Gyeongsan, Yejun was outside doing the laundry. He had already mastered how to do it, and he was just now taking his precious time off, thinking fondly of another task to master. In the midst of him wringing out his clothes and getting lost in his thoughts, he suddenly looks outside and see icy explosions from afar raining down on the city.

It didn't take long for Yejun to realize the whole world has gone into chaos. He didn't even have time to pack up his belongings.

He just started running away with nothing but a coat hanger in his hand.

Yejun kept running, managing to survive for a good minute or so til a nearby icy bomb detonates infront of him, freezing him instantaneously.

But he survived yet again, several weeks later, as the ice around him thawed out, and within a few minutes, his heart started beating again.

Even he didn't know why he has managed to survive being frozen like that. Until, at least, he looked at his hand and sees that the coat hanger that he has been holding this whole time has turned into a boomerang. A Manifest, giving him the strength to move forward.

And that's where it hit him.

He knew that this was the next task he was looking for. The next thing that he should master.

Being a Manifest wielder.

April 29, 2023, 10:35 am, Kordaine's Weapon Experimentation Facility, Gyeongsan, South Korea.

Yejun goes first in attacking Kordaine as he does a downward slash using his mystical boomerang, to which the Koul'in subordinate parries. He then retaliates by firing off icy, glowing snowballs towards Yejun using his blasters. The salt wielder fets overwhelmed as he takes the full brunt of the attack, and parts of his body was now again incased in solid ice.

As Yejun does his hardest to break loose using his Manifest, Zeke attacks Kordaine next, swinging his fiery Manifest towards him. The subordinate barely dodges as the blade nearly runs through his cheek.

Kordaine immediately counterattacks by punching Zeke quickly in the gut, grabbing his hair, and pummeling him to the ground.

In that exact moment, Yejun breaks free and throws his boomerang at Kordaine. It hits his face, stunning him for a few seconds and giving Zeke a chance to spin his body and slam Kordaine with his pipe wrench. The Koul'in subordinate gets flung far back due to the sheer strength of Zeke's attack.

The three combatants seem to stay where they are, their bodies hunched back in exhaustion as they tried to catch their breath.

"I love the dedication you're giving out in this fight." Kordaine muttered. "The previous wielders I battled didn't even give me an ounce of challenge."
