Happy Birthday~ Diluc

Prompt thing: Diluc's birthday!!!
A day late but uhh... oh well? I love this man so much! He deserves the world! And his birthday art? MHMMM! Yes. Short sleeved Diluc is just spectacular. But yeah! Have this! One of my friends suggested I make this angst because I love angst so much, but I said no... however I might have added some? Haha... either way i hope you enjoy this birthday piece! It was kinda rushed but oh well! By the way, the parts with Kaeya involved are only FAMILIAL! No ship AT ALL.

Diluc approached the tavern for one of his occasional night shifts. Despite Adelinde's protests back at Dawn Winery, telling him to take the night off for his birthday but he declined already having grabbed his jacket. But now he stood outside the Tavern, hearing the faint familiar chatter and occasional laughter of drunkards. Pulling the door open, he was more than surprised to see it busier than it usually is, looking around he saw the Acting Grand Master Jean, Eula, Amber, Barbara, Rosaria, Lisa, Albedo, Klee, Noelle and the Traveller. There were also a few other knights around who Diluc knew, but what confused and surprised him more was he couldn't see the Cavalry Captain anywhere. 'Surely Kaeya would have taken any chance to drink if he could, especially if the knights were here?' he thought to himself. Snapping out of his thoughts as he saw Jean approaching him with a smile. A relatively large cake in her hand, with red as the primary icing colour, a few candles and everyone started singing happy birthday to him.

"Happy Birthday Master Diluc." Jean smiles warmly at him, as Diluc looks at her, a small smile tugging at his lips.
"I've told you, you can just call me Diluc." he replies before blowing the candles out, as everyone cheered, and a few more happy birthdays were yelled out to him.
Jean placed the cake on the bar counter, where a few paper plates were stacked as she cut it into pieces for everyone, as Albedo and Klee walked up to him, well Klee more or less skipped.
"Happy birthday Master Diluc." Albedo explains.
Klee jumped up and down.
"Ah- Klee has something for you!" he explains with a slight chuckle, as Klee held out a folded piece of paper. Diluc dropped to around her level, taking it gently from her grasp before unfolding it, as she looked away nervously, hands behind her back waiting for his reaction.
It was a drawn picture of Diluc with his claymore on fire fighting what seemed to be an abyss mage.
"Mister Kaeya told me cool stories about you! And he told me your birthday was coming up and brother Albedo helped me draw it!" she explains happily.
Diluc chuckled slightly at the thought of Kaeya telling the young knight about him.
"I love it. Thank you Klee." he explains, not taking his eyes off it.
He looked up, past the crowd, seeing a space on the pin board behind the counter.
"Let's put this on the board." he explains as Klee's eyes sparkled in excitement as she jumped up and down.

"He likes it! He likes it! Mister Kaeya was right!" She squealed as Albedo laughs
"Indeed it seems Captain Kaeya was correct." Albedo smiles slightly.
"Hey. Um- Albedo, you wouldn't happen to know where Kaeya is?"
"Ah- I'm afraid not. Jean might know something. But I'm sure he'll reappear later or tomorrow. It's a shame he couldn't make it though. Either way you should enjoy tonight, after all this is for you." he explains as DIluc sighs.
"I suppose you're right." he glances at Klee, as he went to pick her up and take her to board.
"Do you want to pin it on?" he asks
"Really? I could do that?!" she asks
"Of course. It's your artwork!" he chuckles as she nods excitedly, and Diluc adjusted her position in his arms as he took a pin off the board to give to her so she could put it on. Once it was on the board she clapped her hands excitedly.
"Now it's there for everyone to see!" She giggles as Diluc hums, agreeing, before stepping out from behind the counter again as he places her down watching as she runs to Albedo who smiled at her as she jumped excitedly talking about something.

Jean was soon in front of him, a plate held out to him with a fork.
"For you. Master Diluc."
"Jean..." he sighs with a chuckle taking the fork and plate. He was unsurprised to see the cake itself was also red, as Jean stood beside him, as they watched as everyone talked and had fun.
"It really feels like something's missing." Jean explains
"Maybe because Kaeya isn't here? He's usually the life of a party." Venti sighs from the counter, surprising the two who looked at him.
"How long have you been here?" Diluc asks
"For hours." he grins
"Well, either way at least everyone's having fun." Jean explains
"What about you? Are you enjoying this?" she asks him sincerely.
Diluc was silent for a moment.
"It's definitely a change from the usual. So... you could say I am rather enjoying it." he explains
"Well then! That's the important thing!" Jean smiles.
