January 28th, xxxx.
a baby girl named (y/n) (m/n) (l/n) was born into this world.
a few years after her birth, (y/n) and her parents, plus her older brother and sister were all sound asleep.
at around 4:20 am, the smell of smoke had been filling up the second story of the house. (y/n)'s sister woke up and began to try and wake up the others so they could get out to safety. (y/n)'s mother grabbed her and her sister, and took the two outside. (y/n)'s mother told her sister to alert the fire department, while she would go back inside to find (y/n)'s father and brother. (y/n), being around 6 at the time, stood near the outside of the house by herself while her sister went to grab help. while waiting outside, a strange man with a huge bald spot and one eyebrow came into frame.
" well hello, hello, hello. "
(y/n) looked at him puzzled.
he had this evil look in his eyes, as he picked her up, and calmly walked away, as if a father was just taking his daughter on a normal night stroll. this however was far from normal, as this would be the last time (y/n) would see any of her biological family for a very long time.
all that was going through the strange man's thoughts was how he was going to steal her family's fortune and diamonds.
years have passed since that event, as (y/n), who was supposed to be raised as some sort of house maid until she came of age to collect her family's fortune, ended up playing her cards right, and ended up as count olaf's right hand man.
it was nowhere near intentional to have her become a big part of decision making, or for her to have this much power over olaf and his troupe, but she did. i am thankful this has happened, because if it never did happen, the baudelaire's story might've ended as soon as it began.
(y/n) became what would be known as some sort of criminal growing up. as she got older, olaf slowly saw her potential to become a vital asset to his part of the schism, and then began to teach her the basics of crime commiting and lying. she was good at what she was taught. during my mini investigation on (y/n) (l/n), i've found claims on people calling her an olaf in training, or how she was one level below him. this however was not the case because she was in fact better than him- much better. she noticed his mistakes, and made sure to not make the same mistakes herself, which was one of her strongest qualities
you know sometimes i wish that house fire never happened. because maybe, just maybe, she could've used that smart brain of hers to do something lawfully good.
in another life maybe.
this is the end of her backstory, as the tale i tell you after this is when her story collided with the baudelaire orphans.

now hear me out, i'm getting back into my asoue phase, and i've had a few chapters already written for this x reader idea.

the first chapter is already ready, i just need to make a few adjustments to the spelling, and it will be posted very soon!! i've had this asoue idea in the back of my mind, and it's good for me to get this idea out so i can finally continue the k-12 book without writers block LMFAO.
this chapter is very half assed, but i wanted like a mini formal beginning to this fanfic so here you go HAHHAAH
i really thought this was creative and out of the box ( it's probably not 💀💀 ), however it was this idea, or the (y/n) squalor one, and to be honest this one is a lot easier to plan out because it doesn't have near as many plot holes as being jerome's child ( and esme's step child [spoiler alert??] ), and overall just wanted an opinion. 😭 i hope you like this concept, and have a good day/afternoon/night!! ❤️❤️❤️
