The place was dimly lit, different color lights danced around the walls, floors, everything. The bar/restaurant was to the right while the dance floor was to the left. It was a mix of undercover curses and gullible humans.

"Where do you wanna start?" I turned looking at Sukuna as we both entered through the thick wooden doors.

"Let's get some drinks for ourselves first." He quickly headed off toward the bar leaving me to trail behind him.

"Why hello Sir, starting off with an old fashioned again?" The tall skinny bartender whipped his hands with a rag, while giving Sukuna a smile.

"Yea, make it strong will you?"

"Of course, and for the lovely lady? What would you like?" He shot me a charming smile, hands on the edge of the counter. The rag on his hip.

"I'll start with a Manhattan." I gave him a polite smile in return before taking a seat next to Sukuna.

"Already starting huh? I thought you said drink with ourselves first." Sukuna rested his head on his fist, while his body was turned to me.

"I haven't started, I just ordered."

"Seemed real smiley with the bartender." He was short with his words, letting his expression show off how annoyed he truly was.

"I'm just being polite." I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his thought. He seemed almost offended I would go for a bartender over anyone else.

"How do you know the Aanin Family?" This time he looked at the wooden counter. His blank stare had almost no connected to the words he spoke.

"Why are you bringing that up now?"

"Well we're waiting are we not? Let's pass the time." His blank stare dissipated, back to his normal angry, lively self.

"Their a family I've cursed, probably a personal favorite. I was under the impression they all died." I had my hands collapse in front of me, rubbing my thumbs on my skin. A small smile taking place on my face as the memories came back.

"Tell me more."

It was those three little words, that's all it took for me to feel the thumping in my chest start up. It was different then before, more like the feeling of calm before a storm.

Maybe it was just the fact he seemed genuinely interested. But it was enough to make me feel something.

"Really? You're actually interested in that?"

"Seems like a happy memory, you started smiling to yourself. I just got curious." He chuckled softly, looking back at the wood for a second before back to me. His eyes looked different, I don't want to say soft. It wasn't like that, just... something new.

"I made a contract with the old family head. Eventually he overstepped, I figured he would. So in return I curse the whole family. Anyone with the same blood, or who were married in." I hadn't realized how intensely he was keeping eye contact, he was genuinely listening to me.

Listening like this one story of mine were some of the best words he's ever heard.

"What kind of technique did you use?"

"It was blood-bind, for every drop of their blood spilled I would get stronger. Then I took my time killing them off."

"I remember you telling me about how that was your favorite. Because people would feel hopeless no matter what, due to the problem being their blood." He let out a smile, the same one I had earlier.
