YELENA POV
-------------
An unearthly scream echoed out behind me as I walked through the halls, trying to locate our next class.
I knew it was Nat. I ran to the source of the noise, but Rosanne was already there, and she signaled for me to go away. "They'll take her out in a few minutes before we do combat with Madame B." She whispered.
We walked away then, and when we finally got to combat class, Which the whole school took part in, Nat wasn't there. "Where is Nat?" I asked, making sure not to alert Madame B of our knowledge.
"I think she'll have a day's punishment," said Rosanne.
Madame B was now walking over to our area, so we practiced the skill, which was scissor-kick. Rosanne and I were a natural team, and when combat was finally over, we were becoming best friends.
It was then when we were in our safe room resting, Nat finally joined us. She was battered with purple and blue bruises, so we decided not to ask about it.
"So, did you guys know that I can do magic!" said Rosanne, trying to break the tension.
"No..." said Nat, lying on her bed.
Right then and there, Rosanne literally lifted the clothes off their hanger and threw them into the washing basket without physical contact, but instead, purple wisps soared through the air. We were absolutely shocked and were speechless, but then exhaustion overcame us, so we got ready for bed and collapsed into a dreamless sleep, with each other right by us.
-----
The morning faced us, and I was SO hungry. The 'Red Room' didn't serve dinner, only lunch, so that sucked.
I was a little bit more experienced now, but during the ballet, I made a couple of stumbles, and after the school day, when I thought I was safe from the wrath of the feared Madame B, she had the audacity to pop into our room, where I was hanging out with Rosanne and Nat and said she required me. I was very scared as she dragged me away into the same room where my unearthly screams would soon come from.
The pain was unbearable, but maybe it was because it was my first punishment. Madame B cut me again and again, and she knew how to do it without making the victim pass out, but maximizing the pain.
"Now, you must not make ANY mistakes in Ballet, or your punishment will be so much worse than your current punishment," she shouted at me, her voice echoing through the room. She then took me to the medic, and she healed me, but the pain was still there, as well as the scar.
Respitille led me back to my room, or so I thought. She took me to the teacher's cafeteria and gave me a bowl of tossed rice, an extremely expensive type of food in Russia. I took it back to my room and shared it with Nat and Ro. It was delicious, and as we talked and laughed and let Rosanne show us the extent of her magic, the pain from the scars was finally gone.
