ROSANNE POV

-------------------

3 weeks later

__________

Fury has put me on a mission with Nat and Steve, the new guy. Nat looks forward to the spar sessions she has with him, and her eyes light up when I ask about him. She definitely likes him. We have a mission to get intel at a KGB base. Great, just great. Totally not stressing about seeing my parents again after 3 years, not to mention Yelena might be guarding the place. I hope she's on a mission. Nat is stressing a lot, but she's ready to go for the intel. I drive over to the place and walk into the Quin jet docked outside the headquarters.

When they arrive at the jet, I land a seat next to Steve to see if she really likes him, and maybe just to get her a bit jealous :). I start twirling my hair as I start to introduce myself to him. I subtly flirt with him, but he's clueless. As I flirt with him and purr in my most seductive voice I feel Nat stare daggers at me. Actually, it's more of a glare. I grin as we arrive at the base. I stop dead when we get there, and so does Nat. It's not a normal base, it's the Red Room. I take a deep breath, and we walk out of the Quin jet, and I help Steve navigate the forest, and take a deep breath as we enter through the roof. I activate a blue spark which sets off the alarm. We slip into our old room, which thankfully, Yelena was not inside of. While the authorities investigated the blue spark, We sneak into the server room which was guarded by two guards, Nat and Steve take on the guards while I get the hard drive. I use the trick Madame B taught me to separate my DNA. (I know, weird but I can do magic hUn!) I use my dad's DNA to unjam the slot that the hard drive was supposed to be. The hard drive pops out, and I throw the hard drive to Steve when I see he's having trouble with the guard.

I send a purple wisp into the back of the guard's head and create a pocket of a freezer drug. The guard starts to scream, but I send another wisp into his head and close the pocket, killing him. Steve and Nat look at me in shock, I shrug. Another kill I guess. One hundred and five now. We walk back to the Quin Jet in deathly silence. I let Nat sit with Steve, and I see both of their eyes sparkle. I could easily read their minds, but I'd rather not. Steve got a nasty cut on his leg, and Nat gestures for me to come. I was a nurse for a year, and I didn't even study medicine because I impressed them so much with the first surgery I did. Nat stands up as I open the medical pocket of his suit. The zipper opens to show a red line leaking blood. The layers of his suit prevented the red from showing. I take out the morphing I always carry with me and inject a little bit into his cut. Then I spray some TSP onto his cut and press on a blood-soaking drug-soaked tissue. The tissue is soaked through with red, which doesn't normally happen. I frown and take off the tissue to reveal the cut. It was spraying blood everywhere, like splashes of red on his leg. Steve turns away and Nat clenches her jaw, but I decided to try healing with magic, which I have rarely tried before. I conjure a purple wisp and push it into the cut, which lets the cut slowly stitch itself back together. The cut also evaporates a red drug and as I turn it into the evaporated version of water.

"What was that drug?" asks Nat, breaking the silence that was forming.

"Blood sprayer which makes most types of blood spray or squirt, depending on the type of blood you have, and the type of wound you have," I replied matter of factly.

Steve nods, and I go back to my seat. We arrive in a couple of minutes. I walk over into the lab after a quick shower. I put on my lab coat and find, to my pleasure, that the lab was empty. My goal is to create a drug that gets rid of blood spray easily so I don't have to use magic every single time a patient sprays blood. I mix a variety of TSP and anti-bleed drugs to try to create something. When I'm about to give up, I feel Thor's hand on my shoulder.

"You shouldn't give up Ros, you are the best scientist I know!" he exclaims. His voice is really comforting, and I find new determination to keep going. Thor and I spend the rest of the day trying and failing, but we created a bunch of blood jammers and painkillers though. At last though, with kisses and hugs from Thor, I finally do it. I create the perfect opponent of blood spraying. I called it the 'Spray Healer' (I know it's cheesy!).

"Yes! I knew you could do it, babe!" he gushes happily.

I simply smile at him, but inside I was celebrating like crazy. I was finally able to do something I was trying to do for years. I wonder if this drug would have come in handy to Yelena during that mission years ago in India when she barely survived our heist to steal the emerald earrings that belonged to the Sultana of Mumbai. I wonder how Yelena is faring now, hopefully with that dog she's always wanted and an adopted child she wanted to be called Nina. I hope she can forgive us for leaving her behind and I hope she has escaped the horrible place. I couldn't believe I considered that place to be my home for my entire childhood.

These questions keep haunting me the entire night in bed, even when cuddling with Thor. Even his protective arms don't stop my thoughts. I toss and turn, but then another face appears in my head. My mom, with her red hair and shiny blue eyes and her cookies. I always loved her more than my dad with his blonde hair and leaf green eyes, but only because of his pancakes that were ALWAYS burnt, and Nat told me mom saved her when she was tortured by the Red Room, and I really hope she is okay. The thoughts accompany me for a while. Are you okay Yelena? Are you okay Mom?

Whew! That was long, and I want to do longer chapters now because the story is nearing its end. I'll start adding songs to the end of the chapters (They're what I listened to while I wrote the chapter)
