Michael's POV
If anyone saw what I was doing today, they would probably think that I was a creep. I'll admit standing outside of a shop for most of the day is a bit creepy, but I had a good reason for it. I wanted to see Luke again. Ever since that day in the shop, the way his face lit up while talking about music wouldn't leave my mind, no matter how hard I tried. Believe me, I tried. After talking with Ashton on Friday, we then proceeded to play some new game he had just gotten for the rest of the night. Then the next day, I basically slept all day and Sunday. That was basically my weekend.
I walked through the front doors of the school to see Ashton and Calum laughing with the people we hung out with. I really hate Mondays. They were the worst day of the week. Friday was obviously the best. Ashton spotted me then said something to the group then walked over to me.
"You finally decide to show up for school!" Ashton patted me on the back as we walked over to the group, "Are you sick or something?"
"I never get sick." When reached the group, everyone turned to look toward me. "What are you guy's staring at?" I snapped. They all muttered 'nothings' and went back to their conversations.
"What crawled up your butt today?" Calum asked laying his arm around my shoulder, which I ended up shrugging off.
"Luke's dick." Ashton smirked and Calum made a digusted face.
"Listen man, I'm cool with you liking guys and everything, but I don't want to hear about it." At that comment, I turned and slapped Calum. He just stood there shocked until he just walked away. Okay then. I guess I shouldn't have slapped him, but he can't go around saying comments like that about me. It could ruin my reputation at this shitty school. I really don't care about my reputation, I just don't want to become someone's punching bag because they think I'm gay. Which in fact, I am not.
"Why the hell did you do that?" Ashton glared. By now all of our 'friends' were watching the scene unfold.
"He doesn't need to be saying comments like that." I stated and walked away heading towards my locker. People seriously piss me off. I mean why can't they mind their own business? I know Calum and Ashton are my best friends, but I don't want to listen to them talk about that.
When I reached my locker, I grabbed the books I needed for today and shoved them in my bag. I then forced myself to walk into 1st period and slumped down in my seat. Today was going to be hell.
************
When the bell rang signaling the start of the last class of the day, the teacher turned toward us with a wicked smile plastered on her face. This should be good.
"Today, I am going to reassign all of you new seats." We were in high school and we still had assigned seats. I literally hate this school so much. I can't wait until I can graduate and get out of here. The only good part about school is the time I get to spend in the music room, which isn't much considering they've got me taking all these stupid classes that I don't need. I looked down at my phone which was hidden under the desk to see that I had no service. Well, this really sucks. This school really needs to update their Wifi.
She made us all stand up and go to one side of the class room while she decided where to put people. Even changing our seats people are still going to talk so I don't know why she's trying. She called out names that sounded familiar and pointed to their new seats. One name made me look up though.
"Luke." She pointed to a seat in the back of the class and he immediately went to it without complaint. Does this guy always do what he's told?
"Michael." My head immediately snapped to the teacher and she pointed to the seat next to Luke. Of course she would put me there. I'm not complaing though. I walked over to the desk and dumped my stuff onto it then sat down.
"So, we meet again."
