"Hey Cal, have you seen Luke?" I asked as Calum continued to grind against the girl he was dancing with.
"I think I saw him outside." He answered and I nodded and started to head that way until I heard a loud gun shot.
Suddenly the guitar stopped and people started screaming. I rushed outside to see what was happening to see a blonde haired boy laying on the ground with a guitar beside him.
Luke.
I pushed through the crowd and when I reached him, Ashton was already kneeling next to him screaming for someone to call 911. There was so much blood as Ashton tried to apply pressure to the wound.
I kneeled down on the other side of Luke and replaced Ashton's hands with mine. The blood was already seeping though Ashton's jacket as I tried to apply more pressure to the wound. I felt completely useless until the paramedics arrived and pushed Ashton and I out of the way. I watched as they put him on the stretcher and pushed him threw the crowd. Ashton and I struggled to keep up with them until we reached the ambulance where they immediately pushed him in and one of the guys turned to us.
"Only one of you can ride in the ambulance with him." He stated and Ashton pushed me forward not saying a word. I guess he'll meet us at the hospital. I climbed in and sat beside Luke as the doors shut behind me. The two paramedics were doing so many things to him at once as I stared still in shock.
Someone had actually shot Luke. Who the fuck would shoot him? Everyone loved him now and he was basically friends with everyone except the people he hung out with when he was doing drugs. Maybe it was one of them.
Luke's hand was hanging off the stretcher and I hesitantly grabbed it, wrapping my fingers around his. His hand was cold and lifeless as I stared at it. Why did this have to happen? The ride to the hospital was a blur until he was pushed out of the ambulance and into the hospital with me following closely behind. They pushed him behind a set of doors and when I tried to follow them a couple of nurses stopped me.
"I'm afraid you'll have to stay in the waiting room." One with blonde hair said and I nodded. She gave me a sad smile and I walked over to one of the chairs then sat down. I buried my head in my hands until I heard foot steps enter the room. I looked up to see Ashton, Calum, Louis, and Harry. They rushed over to me and immediately started bombarding me with questions.
"Where did they take him?"
"Is he okay?"
"Can we see him?"
"Did he ever stop bleeding?"
"I don't know." I mumbled then buried my head back in my hands. I didn't feel like talking right now. I didn't even feel like doing anything right now. I felt completely numb.
I just want Luke to be okay.
"He's gonna be okay, Mikey." Arms wrapped around me from behind and I couldn't stop the tears from falling.
"What if he isn't okay?" My voice broke as another pair of arms wrapped around me.
"You have to think positive." Harry said and I sat up wiping the tears from my face.
"It's kind of hard to think positive when my boyfriend got shot and could be dying in the next room right now." I snapped.
Harry looked over at Ashton with a pleading look in eyes which cause Ashton to sit next to Harry.
"Shut up Michael, he's going to be okay." Ashton mumbled and leaned back in seat.
"This seats are so uncomfortable." Calum complained from the other side of me.
"We're going to be here for a while so you might as well get used to them."
