Neo was lying on the ground thinking about things from the past many things went through Neo's mind mostly memories of Roman and something else that seemed blurry to her Suddenly a sharp pain entered Neo's head memories began to flow into her head they weren't hers however they were Ruby's each memory painfully entered her head the good memories started to crumble only leaving the bad memories the feeling of hatred and anguish lingered and grew making Neo's bloodlust grow more. The memories made Neo realize that her and Ruby weren't so different after all they both are bound together by fate Neo thought she had the worst of it she was all alone she had no one to break the silence there were no voices to be heard not even hers her voice had been lost to her for as long as she could remember the girl let out a sigh as the door swung open the words of someone echoed through the hideout a voice that couldn't be mistaken by anyone

Ruby- We need to talk Neo I have questions for starters why can you talk?

Neo didn't answer the question at first Ruby noticed the hesitant expression Neo had so she asked the question again more calmly

Ruby-what is going on why can you talk now? I noticed we have the same injuries Why is that? Why do I feel sympathy for a criminal like you after everything you've done? Please answer me

Neo- to answer your first question I can't talk I never could and I never will be able to no matter how much I want it. But I-

Neo was cut off by Ruby "you clearly are lying to me Neo your talking right now don't fuck with me!!" She screamed as she went up to the girl and grabbed her by the collar of her shirt

Neo- you didn't let me finish explaining I can't talk I don't have a voice however  you can hear me only you can hear me and there is a reason for that although it may be hard for you to swallow...

Ruby noticed Neo was hesitant to say more she gently let the girl go and let out a sigh

Ruby- Take your time I don't intend on leaving this place until I get the answers I want even if it takes an eternity

Neo- Ruby our souls are linked.

Ruby- what the hell do you mean by linked?

Neo- it's a long explanation but I promise I'll get to that first I need to tell you something....

Neo let out another sigh she looked Ruby straight in the eyes and opened her mouth Ruby anticipating the words that were going to come out of Neo's mouth the girl began to speak again the words haunting Ruby making her heart sink into her chest

Neo-Ruby you and I died during your last mission....

Ruby's eyes widened "what do you mean we died?" She said in shock not being able to process what Neo had told her the girl responded telling her to try to remember what happened that day to remember how her death came to be
