Dumbledoor begins his speech. He introduces the newest defense against the dark arts teacher. He tries to continue but professor umbridge clears her throat. Dumbledoor looks at her before letting her to the podium.

"Thank you, Headmaster, for those kind words of welcome. And how lovely to see all your bright happy faces smiling up at me. I'm sure we're all going to be very good friends," she starts.

"That's likely," says Fred and George.

"The Ministry of Magic has always considered the education of young witches and wizard of vital importance. Although each Headmaster has brought something new to this historic school," she says nodding to dumbledoor, "but progress for the sake of progress must be discouraged. Let us preserve what must be preserved, perfect what can be perfected and prune practices that ought to be prohibited."

"Thank you Professor Umbridge, that really was most illuminating," Dumbledoor says.

"What does this mean?" I ask.

Hermione replies, " this means that the ministry is interfering with Hogwarts."

I'm sit down in defense against the dark arts class. This year we were taking the owls.

"Now you won't need your wands," she begins.

"How do you expect us to learn spells without wands," Harry asks. Sometimes he need to keep his mouth shut.

"The ministry believes that students don't need to perform the spells but instead know the incantations," she says.

"How is that going to protect us?" I ask.

"Well what would want to hurt kids like you?" She asks.

"I don't know maybe lord Voldemort," says Harry standing up.

"Now you have been told that a certain dark wizard is back but the truth is he's not," she demands.

"That's baloney," I say.

"Yah your just saying Cedric diggory dropped dead on his own accord?" Harry's asks.

"Cedric diggory was a tragic death," she says, "but that doesn't mean he's back."

"This is crap," I say.

"He back, I saw him," says Harry.

"Detention, both of you after school," she yells.

Why didn't I keep my mouth shut. We all put up our wands and open our books. She stones on about basic spells we've already covered.

I look back at Draco and he arched his eyebrows. I know I shouldn't have said anything. I take a breath and continue focusing on class.
