The police had closed the case of the accident, and the police chief came to the hospital.

Park Taeyong took over the photos taken at the scene and looked closely at the pictures of Park Jimin wrecked black Bentley, asking the police about the photos and the confessions of the driver of the truck.

As Roseanne walked past them, she heard what they said and saw the stack of photos in the hands of Park Taeyong. She stopped and stared at the photo with the black smoke spreading after the fire of the car where Sunmi was riding was extinguished.

She suddenly looked at Ryujin, who had been following her. "Come with me to the Lee family."

"The Lee Family?"

"Lee Sunmi's home."

...

Lee Sunmi's parents ran the Suan Group in Los Angeles, so her family was also a powerful one. However, Sunmi's parents were obviously just legitimate businessmen who had never participated in the underworld dealings of Elder Lee and the Lee family.

When Roseanne arrived at the Lee family,Lee Sunmi's parents almost rushed up to strangle her as soon as they saw her, shouting that she killed their daughter.

Ryujin stopped Sunmi's parents. Helped by Ryujin, Roseanne successfully entered the Lee family's home.

"Bitch! Our daughter already lost her life because of you. What are you doing in our house?"

"Get out. You're not welcomed here!"

Roseanne entered the door. Hearing their growl, she stopped, turned around, and gave them a cold look. "If you are a little wary of the people closest to you, Sunmi will not end up like this. Did she die because of me? Did she really die because of me?"

Sunmi's mother had been crying for a month. She, pale-faced, glared at Roseanne with swollen eyes while Sunmi's father still retained the last trace of sanity. He pointed to Roseanne and scolded, "Sunmi was tortured to madness because of you and barely survived. And she was also with you when she died! How dare you say her death has nothing to do with you?!"

Roseanne turned around and didn't look at them anymore. The faint trace of mockery in her eyes didn't fall into their eyes. She just said flatly, "The fact is that I almost died at the hands of your daughter both times. Maybe I survived because I'm luckier than her. At least I don't have a sister who seems to be intimate with me but actually only wants to use me and send me to my death."

She suddenly paused.

Yes, she had!

Wasn't she ruined by her good sister, Lin Momo, in her previous life?

So, the scariest person in the world was never your enemy in the open but the so-called closest person who hung out with you every day, seemed to take your side, but actually wanted to push you into the abyss.

"What do you mean? What does Sunmi's death have to do with Jeong yeon? The two have been on good terms since childhood. Don't think you can talk nonsense because Sunmi can't rebut you any longer! Now you want to splash dirty water over Jeong yeon? Sowing discord at a time like this, you are the most vicious woman!"

Sunmi's father couldn't push Ryujin away. He scolded for quite a while but was still held back by Ryujin.

Roseanne said deadpan, "The police believe the incident is a suicidal attempt that Sunmi planned to get back at me. They concluded that the whole incident was planned by her and closed this case abruptly. As her parents, are you really willing to let your daughter die with charges of attempted murder and self-immolation?"

Roseanne didn't look at them, but as she spoke, she observed everything in their house. Her voice was cold.

The expressions of Sunmi's parents changed slightly, and they stared at her. "You..."

"Where is Sunmi's room?" Roseanne asked.

Sunmi's father hesitated for a moment, looked at her back doubtfully, and was about to tell her, whereas Sunmi's mother suddenly broke down and tugged at his arm, not letting him speak. "We can't let her into our daughter's room. We can't let this woman who killed her go into her room..."

Roseanne turned around, only to see Sunmi's mother's red, swollen eyes. Thinking of how Park Jimin's mother tried to suppress her inner sorrow and never shed a single drop of tear in front of her these days, Roseanne paused and went on. "Are you sure Sunmi was killed by me? Wasn't I one of the victims?"

Sunmi's mother didn't answer her but look away tearfully.

Sunmi's father pointed to the second floor. "On the second floor, the room with the white door."

Roseanne withdrew her gaze and walked toward that room.

The house was not small. Roseanne went up the stairs and walked around the second floor before she found Sunmi's room. The servants were surprised to see her, but no one dared stop her but stood aside with a look of wonder at the sudden intruder.

Roseanne went into the bedroom where Sunmi had lived. This girlish-style room hadn't been changed after the death of its owner. It seemed to have been cleaned every day in the last month. Even the neatly placed Kitty pillow on the bed looked like it had just been washed.

The room smelled of air freshener. She looked around, walked to the table in the room, and saw a delicate photo frame. It was a photo of Sunmi and Jeong yeon. She picked up the frame, turned it over and opened it, and as the picture fell out, she saw the letters on the back of the photo: Year 200X, taken in Japan.

So Sunmi went to Japan with Lee Jeong yeon one year ago. And Jeong yeon hadn't been, as outsiders had been rumored, locked up by Elder Lee at home because of mania.

She was actually very free.

What was on the shelves was adorable stuff that girls would like. How could a person who would like this kind of stuff be so wicked and cruel and go all the way to Uk and have people kidnap her in such a horrible way?

Roseanne asked the servant, who stood at the door, as she opened the drawer under the shelf, "Did Sunmi had any friends beside her cousin when she was alive?"

The servant didn't know who Roseanne was and replied, "Our Miss had a lot of friends before she went crazy. She was on good terms with her friends and classmates, but when she suddenly dropped out and insisted on going to study in Korea, she only kept company with Miss Jeong yeon."

Roseanne's hands suddenly paused. She looked at the bottles of drugs in the drawer, picked up one bottle, opened it, put it close to her nose, and sniffed it. Then her eyes suddenly turned cold. She screwed on the bottle cap and held the bottle in her palm.

She continued to rummage through other things in the drawer, asking, "Did Lee Jeong yeon give Sunmi these pills?"

"Yes. Miss Jeong yeon often came to visit her since our Miss went crazy. Because Miss Jeong yeon used to suffer from a similar mental illness, she knows a lot about psychological drugs. To calm our Miss' nerves, she brought some of her own drugs."
