Mark Tuan slowly cracked a smile. "Mr. Park."

He gave Park Jimin a mocking look. "I thought Roseanne was still being protected by that female bodyguard."

While speaking, he relaxed the hand that almost crushed Lin Momo's ribs and rudely pushed her out of his arms. He dropped his hand.

Park Jimin glanced at him and then turned his eyes toward Lin Momo who was pale from the pain and seemed to try to work out a way out.

Momo shook her shoulders and complained, "Brother Mark, I know I acted too rashly and didn't follow your plan, but you know how much I hate Roseanne Lin. I lured her here in the name of my father. I know you didn't expect she would come here... I never wanted to expose you... but..."

Mark Tuan looked at her expressionlessly. "What's the point of you saying this now?" His voice was flat and emotionless.

Mark Tuan did help her for a reason, but he never asked her to drug Roseanne or lured Roseanne here in such a stupid way.

Lin Momo was too impatient. Unlike Mark Tuan who could be extremely patient, Lin Momo just couldn't wait.

Roseanne drawled. "So, I was lured here, partly because my sister who hates me wanted to set me up, and partly because you want to get something from me?"

Hearing her cold voice, Mark Tuan lifted his eyelid. His light-colored eyes looked almost transparent.

He didn't answer to Roseanne but looked expressionlessly at the elegant and handsome man standing under the light.

Mark Tuan had met Park Jimin at the Park Group dinner party. Their first meeting that was not that pleasant doomed that today's affair wouldn't be solved peacefully.

"Well, don't speak to me this way. Since we've been close, what do I still need from you?" Mark Tuan asked her with a smile.

His look was inscrutable and annoying.

Reluctant to be ignored, Lin Momo suddenly turned to Roseanne and stared at her arrogantly. "You've heard what I said just now, haven't you? Roseanne Lin, you're not Dad's daughter! Your mother married Dad with you in her belly! Even though she married Dad and you were recognized as Dad's first daughter for so many years, there is no Lin's blood in you! How proud you were and how pathetic you are now! Roseanne Lin, for the sake of our past sisterhood, I can forgive you for stealing so many things from me, but not including Brother Jimin! Who do you think you are? What makes you think you can stand here, calling yourself 'Mrs. Park'? You're the one who should be ashamed!"

Although Lin Momo's eyes were still red, she had an extremely disdainful smile on her face when she said these words. With the ingrained pride that belonged to a real Lin, she coldly squinted at Roseanne.

Park Jimin didn't look at Lin Momo but shielded Roseanne who remained expressionless behind him. Then he turned to Mark Tuan and smiled mockingly. "The secret that Lin Mason tried to keep was easily found out by you when you were in the Lin family, wasn't it? Now Lin Momo used this not-so-secret secret as her trump card. The bait that you carefully prepared for Roseanne was swallowed by Momo?"

Mark Tuan sneered, and his eyes went cold. "Since you called it a not-so-secret secret, you should know it can't be the bait."

Park Jimin looked at him for a while and then turned his eyes to Roseanne.

Roseanne remained silent since Momo said those words.

Or to be exact, she had been mentally prepared for this news because the women of South Korea's upper class had long been gossiping that she was an illegitimate daughter. Also, after she grew up, she found out that she didn't look like any Lin.

Although she needed time to digest this news, it was not a shock to her.

As Park Jimin said, Lin Momo was being stupid taking this "secret" as her trump card against her.

If Roseanne was still the previous life Roseanne Lin who was so depended on the Lin family, this news might be a blow to her.

But she was not.

Whatever the truth was, Roseanne did not depend on the Lin family at all. The only thing connecting her and the Lin family was her gratitude and affection toward Lin Mason.

Under Lin Momo's arrogant glare, Roseanne gradually cracked a calm and indifferent smile. "But what you long for never mattered to me, so what can you get by saying these smug words except self-consolation?"

Lin Momo paused and then purposely asked her out loud, "So you mean your marriage to Brother Jimin never matters to you too?"

Roseanne glanced at her and asked her word by word, "Do you hate me so much because the only thing I care about is this marriage and the only thing I've strived for is the man who you are desperate to get but can't get? Is it for this reason that you not only set me up but also tried to kill me several times, despite our twenty-year-long sisterhood?"

"You don't even know who your biological father is. How can you have the cheek to stand here and say these..."

Lin Momo was going to refute when Park Jimin had taken Roseanne's hand and walked into the room behind him, ignoring anyone else in the corridor.

He took Roseanne into the room and closed the door of the room.

She looked up only to see the man pursed his lips and called her gently, "Jagi."

Some part in her heart that had been hurting since Lin Momo said those words suddenly settled down.

She said in a soft and calm voice, "I'm stronger than you think. I'm fine. I just need some time to digest the news."

Park Jimin gazed at her. "Don't trust what anyone tells you about your real parents. Find a chance to talk with your father. I think the truth is not as simple as people said."

Roseanne nodded.

He reached out to rub her hair. His voice was gentle and soothing. "You were just drugged, so you should rest. Let's talk about this when we go back home."

Roseanne nodded again.

She had her own idea, but she was willing to follow his words. He was very concerned about her and she happened to be reluctant to quarrel with Lin Momo.

Although the drug had worn off, she still had no strength, so she just let him hold her in his arms to stop her from going out.

When Park Jimin walked out of the room again, except for Mark Tuan who stayed calm and collected, the other people looked at Park Jimin carefully.
