(I made sure you know that this book contains hard and strong language but still let me warn you about this chapter since it mentions death and murder. Just in case. You have been warned.)

Somewhere in India, in a small room, ten people sit around the table. The tension thick after the announcement from Gaia.

"Code Red!?!"

"Yeah."

"Oh my."

"Captain!" A young woman faces the man with the dark brown hair sitting on the table's head. "Captain Selene is asking for an emergency meeting. We need to return to Korea."

He places his elbows on the desk, rests his head in his hands and sighs heavily. "I know..."

"What must have happened?"

"What do you think, Rahul?"

The captain stays silent for a minute. "Tae Jun... That man is back." Rahul knows him. And he knows his history with Ria. He can't help but wonders how she took the news. "We leave immediately."

"Yes sir!" Everyone answer at once.

Greece. A lively day under the sunny sky in the amusement park. Kids run around and scream with joy. Young couples having fun. Laughers, screams and cries from the scary games.

They know nothing about the underworld. They are living their lives to the fullest. Without knowing how many people die every single day for their safety. Sacrificing their lives for them.

That's what the young girl around her middle twenties thinks. Was it better if she chose that kind of life? Living freely without worries? Nah. She chose to be the protector instead. And she loves her job. It's her joy. If only she can call risking her life for others, that.

"Eris." She snaps back to reality. Marcus beside her.

"Huh?" She keeps her gaze towards the kids playing with the pigeons.

"This came from Ria this morning." Marcus hands her a small envelope.

She finally turns to the man and takes the paper in her hand. She sighs, folds it back and turns her gaze to the kids once again. "Would it be better if we gave up this life and chose to live in ignorance, Ria?" Marcus stays silent. She clenches the letter in her hand "Maybe... Just maybe then... You wouldn't have to suffer like this, my friend." A ball lands in her feet and a little kid comes asking for it. She smiles and takes the ball in her hands. "Here! Be careful next time."

"Yes, young lady." The kid politely bows and returns to his friends.

Eris turns to Marcus, face stone cold. "We return to the headquarters. We leave today, Sergeant."

"Yes ma'am."

Tokyo, a night club somewhere deep in the dark sides of the city. Inside a room full of women, his team is having fun. Or at least has to play it like this. For a cover. Gathering informations. He doesn't like the idea. He steps out of the room and heads outside. Away from the noisy place full of cigarettes, drinks and filthy men playing with women.

He walks for a long time until he arrives at the Sumida River. He rests himself in the railing and watches the small boats going around, caring people of all ages who want to have a peaceful night in the waters. Only if the world was that simple. Ria's phone call had turned his world upside down. The only thing he wants is to take her somewhere safe and sound, away from this whole bullshit.
