It has been a few days after the incident. It was getting uncomfortable each day when Im by myself at night whenever I'm watching TV. You'd either hear something scratching the door in the basement, faint crying, someone watching you, seeing shadows running or walking in your peripheral vision, or sometimes you'd hear all of those at once.
One night, I was in my room, already
tucked in bed when I heard the door open a little bit. I look at it's direction but it's still closed. I sighed and just proceed to close my eyes. Suddenly, I felt someone sit next to me. I felt shivers run down my spine but I just tried to ignored it even if it's too hard. After a few seconds, the air gets cooler and I feel really uncomfortable. I decided to open my eyes but I didn't see anything but red. I was really scared. I don't know what was happening or why I'm seeing things like that. I closed my eyes again, trying to continue sleeping again-and, I did. But not for too long.I woke up to the sound of the song 'Carousel' by Melanie Martinez faintly playing in the background and cold air in the room. It was so cold like the air conditioner was open, yet, we didn't have one. I sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes when something fell off on my left and the sound of something hitting the floor then shattering glass echoed my room. I immediately looked up, my heart racing rapidly in my chest and I was paralized in fear. There was a black figure standing at the end of my bed, and guess what?
The figure's eyes were red.
Holy fück.
And it was whispering 'go to the basement' repeatedly while staring down at me.
I wanna scream, ask for help but I can't, I'm still too scared to move so I ended up staring back at the glowing red eyes infront of me. As my vision become clearer, I began to slowly see the black figure in front of me but it faded into the shadow just as I was about to see it's face. All I know is that the shadow was a girl; she has piercing red eyes, half of her face is decaying and her skin is as white as snow. She's glaring at me through the dark. When the girl disappeared, the cold air dropped into normal temperature. That's when I decided to turn the lamp on and call Dinah. She answered on the fourth ring.
"Hello?" She said, irritation laced in her voice. "What is it, Chancho, it's 4 in the morning and I'm having my beauty sleep."
"Hey, remember when I said I have plans so I couldn't go camping with you guys?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I come? I realized my plans aren't worth it. I wanna spend some time with y'all."
"Of course you can! We'll pick you up later so you better pack your stuff." Dinah sighed. "I won't ask you what changed your mind because I'm really sleepy as heck right now."
"Alright," Camila nodded even though Dinah couldn't see her. "I'll see you later. Goodnight."
"Good morning." Dinah corrected. "Goodbye."
"Yeah, goodbye." I said then ended the call.
I opened the light then turned the lamp off. I looked at my left and saw that the thing that fell off of my left was my family picture. It wasn't shattered into pieces but there was a huge crack covering my mother and father's face. I removed the picture then placed it in the drawer. I put the broken picture frame in a plastic bag then placed it on top of my night stand. Soon, I began to pack the things I need for camping. I just need to get away from here.
