Look into the Mirror (Camren)

Chapter XII

"Babe, That dragonfly tattoo looks so hot." Camila whispered in Lauren's ear. Lauren was sitting at the end of her bed with Camila who was straddling her, the brown eyed girl's hands holding Lauren's hair up so she could examine her girlfriend's tattoo at the nape of her neck. "But you know who's hotter? Look at the mirror on your left." Camila winked.

"Aww babe y-" Camila kissed Lauren then pulled away before her girlfriend could reciprocate which made Lauren groan in frustration.

"I'm serious, Look." Camila smirked then winked at Lauren. Lauren rolled her eyes then looked at the mirror on her left then her eyes widened at the sight.

"Did you write a fucking huge ass 'Me' on my mirror with a permanent marker?" Lauren exclaimed then looked at Camila. "What the fuck Camz? My mom's gonna get pissed! You know how much she ha-"

"Chill." Camila chuckled then gave Lauren a quick kiss. "I wrote it using a whiteboard marker. I'm not dumb. You need to calm down." Camila giggled.

"You almost gave me a heart attack." Lauren sighed then looked at Camila. "But do you know what will make me calm down?" Lauren whispered in Camila's ear before kisssing her girlfriends neck.

Lauren stood up while holding Camila in her arms before placing her down on her bed. Camila grabbed the collar of Lauren's shirt then pulled her down with her as she lied down. The green eyed girl was surprised but quickly placed her arms on the either side of Camila's head to maintain her balance.

"What is it, Lauren? Tell me." Camila whispered seductively before biting her lip and looking directly into Lauren's eyes. The brunette began playing with the first button on Lauren's flannel. "Tell me what will calm you down."

"I-." Lauren was about to lean down and kiss Camila but the door opened.

"Mija!" Sinu yelled in anger and confusion. The girls immediately separated then looked at each other in fear of what will happen. "What is happening here?"

"N-nothing mom!" Camila struggled to make up an excuse. "We were just...We-"

"Gonna have sex on your bed!" Sinu finished for her then glared at both of the girls. The girls just stood there, flustered at Sinu's words. "I can't believe you're doing this! How long have you two been dating?!"

"Mom," Camila stood up, teary eyed. "I love Lauren."

"How long have you two been dating?" Sinu snapped.

"A few months." Camila closed her eyes when she felt Lauren stand by her side to comfort her.

"Don't lie to me, mija."

"A year." Lauren sighed. "Listen, Mrs Cabello, I -"

"Get out." Sinu said calmly.

"Mrs Cabe-"

"Get out!" Sinu snapped. "I have to talk to my daughter. I can't believe you Lauren. I treated you as my child, but you're luring my daughter to sin!"

"It's not a sin!" Camila cried. "Why can't you just allow me to happy?"

"You'll be happy when you realize this is just a phase!" Sinu threw her hands up in frustration. "I need to take you with me on my bible study everyday."

"Loving isn't a sin. I-"

"Shut up Lauren or else I'll tell your parents!" Sinu glared at Lauren then gestured for her to leave.

"I love your daughter and I'll stand by her side when she needs me." Lauren pulled Camila closer to her. Who knows, maybe this is the last time she'll ever hold her again.

"What's happening here?" Alejandro entered the bedroom looking confused.

"They're dating." Sinu made a disgusted face. "For a year."

Alejandro looked at Camila in disgust before turning his attention to Lauren. "Let them talk alone, kiddo."

"No, Ca-" before Lauren could finish her sentence, Alejandro carried Lauren away from Camila but failed when he looked back and saw both of the girl's fingers are entwined.

"Dad," Camila looked at her dad pleadingly but he looked away while Sinu tried to pull Camila away. After a few minutes of struggling to separate the girls, Sinu and Alejandro managed to separate them. Alejandro put Lauren down at their front porch. He was blocking the door to prevent Lauren from entering again.

"Mr Cabello please let me explain!" Lauren cried as she tried to get past Alejandro.

"No, kid. Listen, I don't want you near my daughter ever again. Do you understand?"

"I love your daughter." Lauren stated desperately. "Please..."

"Lauren!" Lauren closed her eyes then took a deep breath when she heard her father's voice.

Mike pulled Lauren away from Alejandro. Mike grasped Lauren's arm which forced the raven-haired girl to follow her dad to their car. Mike tried to push his daughter into their car but Lauren refused. Mike managed to put Lauren backseat while he held her daughter to prevent her from escaping. Soon Clara entered the car then drove off.

"Why can't you let us be together?!" Lauren cried then looked at her parents, desperate for an answer.

"Because," Mike sighed then removed his grip from his daughter. "The Cabellos will never accept this kind of sexuality. I warned you before."

"But you accept me, right?" Lauren looked up at her father.

"Of course." Mike sighed then wiped her daughter's tears. "We accept and love you."

"Mom?" Lauren looked at her mother hopefully.

"We talked about this and it doesn't matter as long as you're happy." Clara smiled at Lauren from her rear view mirror then returned her attention to the road.

"Then can you help me convince them?" Lauren looked at her dad desperately.

"It's easier said than done, mija." Mike smiled sadly at his daughter.

"I still won't give up." Lauren said as she continued crying.
