~Chapter 26~

Sapnap P.O.V

I walked into the castle with knees shaking so bad I thought they'd give out any minute. As I walked, a sudden hand on my shoulder caused my soul to leave my body and my already shaky knees to buckle slightly. I whipped around only to see a confused and startled puffy.

"OH, sorry....sorry: you scared me" I tried to gather myself, fucking moron

"My goodness, that's twice now" she said sweetly, "No, I heard from the seamstress that you didn't go for your fitting, and I wanted to ask if you were still interested, because I'd like to get it done today if--"

"OH yeah. Sorry I forgot" Yep, forgot because I was busy stealing and contemplating my life choices

"Wonderful, SEDWICK" an attendant scrambled out of her office to her side, "Would you be a dear and show sapnap to the seamstress suite please, thank you." Sedwick shook his head and started walking to the end of the hallway. Puffy nodded, and I smiled before running to catch up to him.

_-_-_Time skip to fitting room_-_-_

The suite was small, but I think it was because it was so full. Fabrics, threads, busts, mirrors, measuring tapes, and sewing needles as far as the eye could see. There was a rack full of suits waiting for me. After a little browsing, I ended up choosing a white suit because I felt it'd make me look more regal or something. 

"Jeez, you're a small thing. I'm gonna have to take this in more" the seamstress slipped the overcoat off and took it back to her desk as I pondered my next move.

Ok: I need to somehow get to the vault, get the money, and slip out undetected. That simple enough right?...jeez ok. I don't know where the vault is, and I need a bag of some sort. If I were a vault full of money, where would I be...

"Excuse me....uh"

"Gertrude" ***she's older btw

"Gertrude. So in addition to the fitting, puffy wanted me to go to the vault and bring her some money for something. Do you know where that is" I cringed at the terrible lie

"Oh really, that's funny you say that. She was just looking for the key the other day: she's real upset about losing it"

"OH NO, sorry, she sent me to look for it, that's what it was. She asked me to look around there for it, but remind me: what does the key look like" I wanted to kick myself I sounded so suspicious.

"I don't quite know, but It's definitely a small key, like the length of your finger small. No wonder its easy to lose right?" she laughed

.....Wait: you're telling me the key I stole just happens to be the VAULT KEY!?!??!?  Dad, if you're seeing me, know I'm sorry

"Oh yeah, definitely"

She walked back over with the coat and helped me put it on. After adjusting, it looked to be a perfect fit. I thanked her and went to change, but on my way I noticed a large bag holding fabric bundles laying on a table near me. After checking my surroundings, I quietly took the fabric out and tucked the bag under my shirt as I rushed to my clothes and got dressed. I walked out and shut the door, leaning against it relieved.

That's one problem, but now I need to find this dam vault

I didn't know what to do, but when I saw sedwick come down the hall, I got an idea.

"Heeeeyyyyy, sedwick right? A question for you" I asked, "Gertrude needs leather for a project and said to get money from the vault to get more in town, but she didn't tell me where it is, do you know?"

"Aw that's easy: just go down that way and take a left, second door on the right side will take you up stairs, then its a left, right, and it's the big door at the end of the hall" he sounded rehearsed, smiling all the while
