~The Next Day~

No One's P.O.V

"No seriously, I'm like 99% positive that I could get a job as one there"

"hmmmmmmmm"

Techno and Sapnap were talking at one of the bar tables that morning having breakfast. Techno asked him where he went after he stormed off the day before and if he was okay, and sapnap told him all the events that transpired. 

"What?"

"I don't know...just are your sure about that?" techno asked hesitantly

"Um DUH: it's hard for karl to sneak out to the woods all the time, so if I try to work as a metal worker or weaponry manager or something then I can still see him..." 

"okay then, you do you I guess" 

"Okay, well thank you for breakfast, but I think that we should get going now" Sapnap said standing up; techno had to walk him to the castle because he was still getting acquainted with the layout.  Sapnap handed his plate to techno to take behind the counter while he walked toward the exit. Techno dropped them off and then joined sapnap by the door as they walked out into the daylight.

They went down the same route through the town as yesterday and to the castle. As he opened onto the castle he saw the steps that lead to the large doors, in front of which stood 2 armored guards.  

"Dude there is no way you are getting in" techno tired to ration with his friend, but sapnap didn't care, and walked ahead of him up the stairs to the doors. 

"State your business" one of the guards asked him sternly once he reached the top

"I uhm I wanted to consult with the queen about possibly--" sapnap was interrupted 

"The queen is not seeing anyone today. Be gone" 

"No wait, but it's more than--"

"Come back when you have an appointment or don't come back at all, now BE GONE" the second guard interrupted this time,  joining in the conversation

"Excuse me but-" sapnap was getting angry at their tone and manners, but before he could do anything he might regret techno came up next to him.

"Dude dude, lets just come back a little later. I'll help you get an appointment if I have to" techno tugged at sapnap's arm, trying to pull him away.

Sapnap gave a dirty look, but the guards were indifferent 

"Let's just go sapnap" Techno pleaded, tugging a little harder. Sapnap reluctantly turned around and started down the stairs again

"HAULT"

Sapnap and Techno jumped around at the sudden yell, started half to death

"What is your name" the guard asked, pointing to sapnap

"Me? Sapnap" he replied clearly, a feeling of hope growing in his chest

The guards went silent and the looked at each other. Techno and sapnap were still confused on what was happening.

"Come with us" They started to rush toward sapnap

"whoa hang on--hang on WAIT" sapnap was seized by both guards and they began dragging him toward the palace doors.
