EXT. OUTSIDE THE OLD CELLAR IN EXITIUM - DAY
The park is half dead, the grass yellow or burnt and the trees dying with very few leafs on them. The air is yellowish and the few rays of sun which gets through the thick clouds above are not as bright as they should be.
Sebastian emerges from the old cellar with Alexia behind him. When she steps out she looks around in a terrified wonder.
ALEXIA
I know this place.
SEBASTIAN
From your nightmares?
ALEXIA
From visions, dreams, yeah... even some nightmares.
SEBASTIAN
You are a traveler.
He starts walking.
ALEXIA
I'm a what?
She follows him.
SEBASTIAN
You traveled through the portal, from one dimension into another - which makes you...?
He looks at her, expecting an answer but she just looks back, confused.
He sighs.
SEBASTIAN (CONT'D)
A traveler.
She stops, forcing him to do the same.
ALEXIA
Does that have something to do with the marks on my back?
SEBASTIAN
What marks?
She turns a quarter of a circle, to him, and pulls her shirt up, just enough so that he can see the end of one of the wounds on her back. He leans forward and gently touches it. She flinches and pulls away.
ALEXIA
They appeared out of nowhere.
SEBASTIAN
I've never heard about marks showing up out of nowhere before. We have to ask Alex.
