AFTER what arther told me I be became dense. I refuse to understand what I feel.
Hindi ko maiwasan ang matakot. Takot na takot akong mamatay.
Shamelessly, I ran into luther's office again, ingnoring arther.
I saw luther. Nakayuko siya at parang nag-iisip pero nung nakita ako ay agad siyang nag angat ng tingin.
"L-luther..." I trembled.
"Why? What happened?" Tanong niya at tumayo. Mas lumapit ako sakanya. I feel safe when I'm close to him.
"A-arther told m-me that your opponent wants me dead." Sumbong ko sakanya na parang bata. Kumunot ang noo niya at tumingin sa likod ko.
Luther is glaring at my back. I look over my shoulder.
It's arther. May pagtataka sa mukha niya pero kalaunan ay bumuntong hininga siya at umalis.
I face luther again.
"L-luther.. if we untie our bond right away, will your opponent won't kill me?" Kinakabahan kong tanong habang siya ay nakatingin lang saakin.
"I don't know—"
"Please make a way!" I desperately shouted.
"I don't want to d-die.. please." Pagmamakaawa ko. "I'm weak.. I don't even know if I can handle myself.
I started to sobbed and tremble and cry.
He reached for me and I didn't hesitated to go near him. Niyakap ko siya ng mahigpit, afraid that If I'm gonna let him go.. something might happen to me.
"Please luther." I cried. "Please keep me safe."
"I will, anoa." Marahang sabi niya at kinalas ang yakap ko sakanya. He stared at my eyes. Seryoso ang mukha niya.
He wiped my tears away.
"I will keep you safe. Don't bother to worry."
Dahan-dahan akong tumango at pinunasan ang luha ko.
I don't want to die. There's many things that I will fail to acknowledge if I'm dead.
I want to explore the world.
"Thank you." I said.
Niyakap ko siya ulit. Feeling warm and safe presence. I didn't let him go when he sat on the sofa kaya hinawakan niya ang likod ko at sinabay ako sa pag-upo niya.
Maya-maya ay kumalma na ako dahil sa sinabi at presensya niya. I felt lighter afterwards.
"Wala kang gagawin ngayon?" I casually asked.
"I will stay by your side until your calm." He said. Kumalas ako sa pagkayakap sakanya at hinarap siya.
"I'm calm." Sabi ko sakanya. "Ahm.. ayos lang ba sayo na niyakap kita?" Nahihiyang tanong ko.
"Of course." He said likes it's a dumb question. Napanguso naman ako sa naging reaction niya.
"I really thought that you're annoyed at me for clinging to you. I know you're not a type of a man that will cuddle."
"It feels natural to me." He said, pertaining to my touch.
Ngumiti ako sakanya at inabot ang kamay niya. I held it and rub my thumb on it.
"You have a rough hand." I said, staring at his open palm.
"I carried all handy."
Napangiti ako sa sinabi niya at binitawan na siya.
