Connor, Myrah, and Christopher walked in the direction of the bookstore, the latter following his siblings. The surrounding area was very crowded, but as people noticed their presence, they made a pathway for the three to walk through. Connor was an actor, Myrah was a model, and Christopher was with them. He was also still on crutches, so everyone moved to not have their foot jammed.
The youngest triplet gave people nods of thanks as he walked past them, making sure no one tripped as they stepped backwards near lifted bricks or sidewalks. It was quite likely considering they couldn't really see where they were stepping. It was very crowded everywhere. The place was so crowded that Christopher began to freak out a bit.
"Thank you, darling." A girl said as he caught her by the elbow when she tripped on someone's foot. "How sweet of you." She pat his chest for a split second before walking somewhere else, and Christopher turned back to make sure he didn't lose his siblings.
Both were looking at him with a raised eyebrow and a smirk, which confused Christopher quite a bit.
The girl seemed to be taller than him, around one hundred and ninety-five centimetres tall, and had very slightly wavy brown hair that was styled in a half-up, half-down style, being more on the straight side and her skin was quite dark. She had brown eyes with long eyelashes, thin eyebrows and had freckles over her nose with a pale birthmark on her left cheekbone. On the right side of her jaw, a long, thin scar. Her dress reached past her ankles and was emerald green with white accents. She was a very beautiful girl to say the least.
Christopher recognised her as the young lady who was being harassed by a man old enough to be her father. He was a slight bit concerned for her, but she looked incredibly tough and as if she could handle herself.
What Christopher didn't know about her was that the girl's beauty was praised, along with her strength. She had been in pageants by choice since thirteen and won nearly every time, though her father would only allow her in natural beauty pageants. She had also been in competition fights, only having lost twice. So, Christopher's assumption about her being strong and able to handle herself was correct.
Many would kill to interact with her, and many boys could only dream to touch her, or be touched by her. They'd also do everything they could for her to smile at them. None of them ever managed to get what they wanted as she was a busy person and didn't have time for those things. Christopher managed to do all four without even trying in just a few seconds.
"I see you've met Raelene-Aaliyah Vivian Salvador. Beautiful lady and she's seventeen years old. She's from Saudi Arabia, migrated here with her parents in early 1954, though, her mother was from Spain. Many boys want to date her, but she doesn't even spare them a glance. Especially since half of them bullied her in high school. Lucky you; you got a smile from her. You must remember her from when we were toddlers." Connor grinned, nudging Christopher on the shoulder as they walked inside the bookstore. "I think she's taken an interest in you. I've never seen a girl stare at someone like she did to you." He said in a knowing tone.
Despite not being able to easily recognise emotions other than anger, fear, sadness, and happiness, Christopher knew instantly what Connor meant. He also recognised Raelene's name. He knew her. She was someone he knew from a decade ago, but he needed to speak to her more to put her to a face.
Rolling his eyes, Christopher walked further into the store, having a look at the array of books along the shelves. They ranged from reading books to non-fiction, word searches and many other types of books.
He wasn't good with reading, but his comprehension was improving out of sight. It made him really happy.
"Doubt it. She only just saw me, and she was the only one who said something." He shrugged, running his fingers along words as he read them. Connor also rolled his eyes. "Myrah, what does this say?" He asked, not understanding the title well. His English was quite poor.
