Christopher was made to sit in the lounge room with William, Madelia, and Hedeon. He glared at them, his face stone cold. He meant what he said four days earlier.

"You are and mean nothing to me." Is what he said to Madelia. He meant it with his whole heart, body, and soul. He'd never regret those words he spoke, and he'd never take them back. As he glared, Hedeon spoke.

"This house isn't suitable for your presence." He said, receiving an 'ahem', from William. A sign to tell the truth. "What?! You want me to apologise to that bitch?! I haven't done anything wrong, it's all him!" He lashed out, throwing a coffee cup at Christopher. It stopped midair, then shattered. Christopher was the cause. "See! He just made the mug stop and break!"

"He is a child. A very blessed child. He hasn't done anything wrong. From what I've been informed, you two have neglected him, abused him, and murdered an infant twenty-seven years ago. Fortunately for Chris, you two will be forced to leave in thirty days. You have no place in this household, and because your rights of Christopher were signed away fifteen years ago, he will be under Bryson and Larisa's care due to their placement in her Grace's line of succession. Connor, Myrah, and Adhi will be too under emergency custody." William spoke, and that sent Christopher's biological parents irate.

They, or just Hedeon, were about to scream, but Christopher's voice broke through the air, freezing everyone.

"Why did you never want me? What have I done wrong to be treated like this? I have had a horrible life, and you make it worse. Why? I didn't ask to be here. You were the ones who chose to keep me, you could've put me up for adoption. So, why?" He asked, still glaring.

"Because you were born imperfect. Those pointed ears, you were born with them. You were born a freak, like that inhuman thing, Mason. That, and you inherited the shifter gene; I wanted none of my kids to get that gene, but now you're a shapeshifter, thanks to my pathetic father. We only wanted perfect children. You were too tiny, too skinny, too pale, and just ugly. Then we found out you were autistic after you behaved so strangely and that's when we knew that you were doomed to fail in life. If they weren't banned back then, I would've taken you to get a lobotomy. But no, they were outlawed just a few years before your diagnosis. No one will ever love you, you defective, cursed bitch." Hedeon answered, complete and utter rage in his eyes. "And Adhi is coming with us."

"No. He isn't. If you resist, you'll leave sooner." William answered harshly. Hedeon got up, and attacked Christopher, getting a harsh hit in. William pulled out cuffs, and locked Hedeon's wrists in them. "You're going to prison for murder. I'll make sure of that. But right now, we'll settle for jail. You're under arrest for the murder of Christopher James Aetos in 1945, the abuse of Christopher Theodore Aetos, and the assault of Christopher." He determined, dragging Hedeon from the room. Madelia stayed, looking distant.

"Christopher," she said, and he looked at her, "you weren't born imperfect." She whispered to him, tears welling in her eyes. "I wanted to raise you. But Hedeon said he'd kill you like he did to Bryson and Larisa's baby if I tried to love you. And... I believed that he would. You were such a blessing of a baby. And I know there isn't an excuse for anything I've done to you, but I want you to know that I'm so sorry." She wanted to hold his hand but didn't. "I've always loved you, my son."

"He was abusive. Wasn't he?" Christopher asked, and Madelia nodded. "It was why you didn't leave earlier, isn't it?" Another nod. "I get it. The most dangerous time with an abuser is when you leave because they can be completely unpredictable. I understand. But you do not have to stay with him anymore. Delilah is an adult. Connor, Myrah, and I are nearly adults, and we're old enough to understand. Adhi is very young, but you don't want him to be around it. You should file for a divorce. I will be by your side when you do." He told her, slightly shocking her. "I forgive you."
