It was there again. Something. It stared straight into his soul. A hand had reached out from behind and grabbed his shoulder. He was getting saved! Right?! He turned around, only to see Basil, blood running out of his eyes, nose, and mouth, his face horribly disfigured.

'It's all your fault! It's all our fault isn't it Sunny!' Sunny tried to scream, but he couldn't. He tried to run, but he couldn't. Then Basil's deformed face morphed into someone else. It was a mirror of Sunny, almost.

Omori.

And then he woke up. He gasped, trying to fill air into his lungs. His face was wet with tears, his body shaking violently.

Then he felt loving arms wrap around him, at first he resisted, still thinking this could be a dream, or worse. But it was Kel's long arms, holding him tight. Then Basil turned over, and held Sunny's hands, caressing him.

"It's okay Sunny, it was just a dream, okay? You're fine, it's okay." Basil said in a quiet, soothing voice. Basil always knew how to make Sunny feel better with his words (his actions on the other hand, was a much different, complicated, story.)

Kel rubbed Sunny's back as he cried. He hated feeling like this. He was in a much better mental state, but nightmares still came to him. He didn't want to be a burden...

Eventually, his sobs died down, and he fell asleep in Kel's lap.

——

Sunny's eyes opened slowly, a dim yellow light shone through the white curtains. He looked over to see Kel sleeping beside him, and Basil on the outward edge of the bed, while Sunny was against the wall. He was dimly aware of what happened last night, but he felt comfortable now. He looked over at his boyfriends. Kel's face was slack, mouth slightly open, a line of drool on his chin. His limbs were splayed across the bed. Basil was in a fetal position, facing towards Kel, lightly snoring.

Sunny decided to be a little bitch and start messing with Kel, poking his cheek. Kel's face contorted a bit, confused, he lazily brought his hand up to stop the feeling of whatever was bothering him. He touched Sunny's hand, and then he slowly opened his eyes. He just kind of stared, for a moment. His eyes slowly shifted around the room.

"Where am I?" He whispered, barely acknowledging the fact that Sunny was messing with him.

"In a bed." Sunny said, leaning against the wall.

"Oh." He said, then he turned on his side, getting ready to fall back asleep.

It wasn't like Sunny to be the first one up, but all that crying meant he must've slept really hard after that. He was surprisingly well rested.

Sunny laid his head back down, facing Kel, whose eyes were miraculously still open. Sunny kissed his forehead.

"Good morning." He said, quietly.

Kel grinned. "Did you sleep okay?" He asked.

"Better, yeah."

Then they felt Basil stirring.

The blonde sat up and looked at them both, and smiled.

"Good morning." He said.

'So cute!' Sunny and Kel thought, simultaneously.

Kel sat up and pecked him on the lips. "Good mornin' sweetheart," he teased.

Basil's face became red. "I-Uhm... Oh Sunny! Are you okay, did you sleep well after..."

"Uh huh."

"Good..." Basil replied. Basil also understood the terrors of nightmares, haunting him about his past.

Basil was about to get out of bed before Kel grabbed him and tacked him into a hug, then putting him in the middle.

"Hey!"

"C'mon Basil, we know you can't miss out on morning cuddles!" He said laughing, propping his head up on his hand.

Sunny rolled over and buried his face into Basil's shoulder, kissing his collarbone.

Kel then put his hands over Basil and buried his hands in Sunny's slick, dark hair.

Sunny felt so lucky. He didn't deserve this. He remembered when this had started.

"Okay Kel, truth or dare?" Aubrey asked, a mischievous grin on her face.

They sat in a circle on logs. This had been the first group outing in over four years. Hero couldn't come because of college and his job, but Aubrey brought along the Hooligans. And eventually Kim had the bright idea to play Truth or Dare.

"Dare! Obviously!" Kel said, pumping his fists.

"I dare you to... Kiss Sunny!" She said.

Well apparently Aubrey couldn't keep secrets. Oh well.

"Easy peasy!" Kel said, with a smug look on his face. "Why don't you try something a little harder next time AUBREY!"

Kel walked over. "Oh, uh Sunny, your aren't gonna be upset if I do this right? I mean, Aubrey can always give us another-"

"It's fine. Kiss me."

Basil looked over at Kel nervously. Guess this was an unintentional plan B. Sunny gave Basil a quick thumbs up, before he turned back to Kel, who was squatting next to the log Sunny was sitting on.

Then it happened. But Sunny wasn't about to let Kel get away that fast, he deepened the kiss, tilting his head slightly, bringing his hand up to Kel's cheek. Then he pulled back. He must've borrowed Hero's charm and Kel's confidence because he never would've done that by himself. Well, Basil helped him with a good luck kiss of sorts.

"DAYUMMMMM!" Kim exclaimed. "That was SPICY!"

"Wow I didn't think you would do it, Sunny." Aubrey said, covering the grin on her face with her hand. Sunny hoped he wouldn't regret telling Aubrey about him and Basil's plan to be Kel's boyfriends.

Kel was completely oblivious to her comment, and just... Stopped. He didn't move. Sunny didn't know how Kel kept on squatting.

After that, they thought they'd screwed it up. Kel still acted friendly, but he officially "asked them out" when they returned back to Faraway (Sunny still was visiting with his friends). It had been on the basketball court that Kel always played at. And after lots of awkward conversation, they ended up roping Kel into their relationship.

So here they were, all snuggled in a soft bed, carefully picked by Sunny himself. He closed his eyes, leaning into the comforting smell of Basil's clothes, relishing the feeling of Kel's warm hands enveloping them both. As long as he had his friends (and boyfriends) by his side, things seemed like they would turn out okay...
