Narrowing down the boys position would be problematic. The mirror trick only showed his immediate surroundings.  Hunter would be needed soon and time was running out. He knew where the ceremony was and so he would stay away from the head. Not a surprise. The boy may have been naive and gullible but he wasn't downright foolish.

Time was not on his side. How could everything have gone to waste. Years of waiting and plotting. Dozens of grimwalker. All to be brought down by a human and his weakest grimwalker. He had anticipated a rouge witch. Not a human child and most certainly not a 16 year old witch who couldn't even use magic.

It was nearing time to leave he would have to leave this to witches. Or did he.

"Collector I'm going out."

"You? Going out?" The collector's jaw hit the floor.

"Yes."

"Dressed like ThAt?!"

A shrieking ringing echoed in my head. I shot up and looked around for Flapjack. We couldn't stay here. We had to go! It wasn't safe. It took me a second to figure where we were.

Chirp

"Flapjack." He was telling me that we weren't in danger. I sighed. He wouldn't lie to me.

I looked at what Flapjack had brought me whiles I was sleeping. He had found packs of Hex mix and somehow a green sleeping bag. "Clever bird" I grinned at him. He chirped and I pet him. He pushed his under my hand pushing my hand over his little head.

I scooped him up and stepped out of the nest we had shaped. We made our way to the door to the rest of the school.

It was cracked open. I saw a sliver of the hall. The students were  passing the door. I couldn't make out any faces. It was just a blur of the 9 tracks on there uniforms. Two girls were leaning against a pair of lockers. I recognized them both. The Blight girl and the Captain. Willow was fighting her locker for her book. The Amity Blight spun her finger in a circle.

"Willow watch out. Here let me get that."

" No it's fine I-"  the monstrous locker was chomping at a purple slime. "Got it." She finished she looked like she was trying not to me frustrated but her patience had begun to wear. Why was the Blight girl trying to defend her from the furniture. The Captain could handle much more than that.

Chirp.

" No I-uh.. it's my turn to take care of you"

Chirp

" No I know you can take care of yourself-"

Chirp

" Alright... Be safe and just wait till the halls empty."

Just as I said that the sound of classroom doors closing. Flapjack raised an eyebrow and fluttered out the crack in the door before I could say anything else.

I put my hand through the crack and was about to follow-

"  We appreciate you taking advantage of these mixed tracks " The principal passed by the door. He was walking a student to his office.

Teachers in the hallway. He would have to be careful. He waited. Ten seconds. Fifteen seconds. Thirty seconds. One minute.

"Ok 5 4 3 2 1." Hunter stepped between strips of tape blocking the entrance. He began a silent sprint through the halls. The school had to have some sort of library right? Curiosity may have finished the fairy but he had to know. Belos had called him a grimwalker.

He turned a corner and saw a classroom door open. He skidded to a stop and saw students hunched over desks. So this was school. It was strange. A room full of people. He observed the students. One raised their hand. The teacher spoke. "yes Sherman?"
