14.The Past is Knocking on the Door

Narcissa couldn't believe that her Amir had gone through so much.

"That's the saddest story I've ever heard."

Narcissa said as Amir took her into his arms.

"Yeah, it's pretty sad but the saddest part is not knowing what happened to Mateo."

Amir said as Narcissa kissed his cheeks. Narcissa started to feel nauseous.

"What's wrong, Narcissa?"

Amir asked as Narcissa rushed to the bathroom throwing up. Narcissa ignored him and shrugged it off.

"Nothing, just something I ate."

Narcissa said as she began to mentally calculate dates in her head.

"Hey, with all this baby mama drama going on, why don't I take you out on a date?"

Amir asked as Narcissa thought about it. It would be nice to get a break from everything that was going on.

"Where to?"

Narcissa asked as Amir smiled deviously.

"It's a surprise, dress formally."

Amir said as he pulled her gently off the bed and towards the shower. After half an hour they were finally out. Narcissa stood naked in front of the mirror.

That was odd. If she was sure, she was certain that she looked different. Her stomach was a bit round and her skin seemed to glow, but that was crazy right, just her imagination.

Amir came up behind her and put his hand around her waist and kiss her hair.

"Why is that I am so lucky?"

Amir asked as Narcissa smiled.

"I should be asking you this question."

Narcissa said as Amir smiled. He was absolutely happy. He let her go and she slipped into a green Victoria's secret lingerie set.

"Do you like what I have on?"

Narcissa teased as Amir's eyes turned black.

"I think that we should skip the main course and go straight to dessert."

Amir said as his hands slid around her waist.

"Oh no lover boy, you promised me dinner out, and out we shall go."

Narcissa said as she wiggled out of his arms and towards the closet.

"Which dress do you think I should wear?"

Narcissa asked as Amir came over to her.

"The white one."

He said as Narcissa took out the white dress. It was strapless and backless but fitted her like gloves. But she was curious as to why he decided to choose the white one.

"Why the white one?"

She asked as Amir finished putting on his Armani suit.

"Because it represents life, purity, and new beginnings."

Amir said as Narcissa smiled and stepped into the dress. It fit her like a glove.

"A little help."

Narcissa said softly as Amir smiled. This was his favorite part of being with his mate, helping his mate with anything.

"With pleasure."

Amir said as he zipped up her dress. She shivered slightly as Amir's finger trailed her exposed skin

"Thank you."

Narcissa said as Amir bent and kissed her neck. He held her hand as they walked out of the room. Amir and Narcissa descended the stairs and saw everyone there staring at her.

"What, you've never seen someone in a dress before?"

Narcissa asked as most of the males started to laugh.

"It's not that, it's just that you look kind of pretty, so different from the wet kitten look that we are used to."

Dr. Grayson teased as Persia slapped him lightly on the shoulder.

"Thanks."

Narcissa said as Alpha Atlas smiled at her too.

"So Amir, where are you taking her?"

Alpha Atlas asked as Amir looked at Persia.

"It's a surprise."

Amir said as he held out his hand for hers.

"My lady, your carriage awaits."

Amir said as they stepped outside to his black convertible.

"Some carriage."

Narcissa noted as Amir opened the passenger's door for her and then walked around the other side.

Chasers...

Amir pulled up at Chasers the hottest club in town. He pulled up and handed his keys to the bouncer along with a tip. He went around and opened the door for Narcissa. Narcissa took her hand and led her to the VIP section of the club.

"Mr. Winters, good to see you again."

The manager said as he came up to greet them.

"Are you a local here?"

Narcissa teased as Amir laughed.

"I guess you could call it that."

Amir said almost looking a bit embarrassed. Amir  led her to her seat and the waiter came over.

"We'll start with some appetizers."

The waiter said as he placed some on the plate in front of them.

"Hhmm...this is delicious."

Narcissa said as Amir nodded.

"I think you're pregnant."

Amirblurted out as Narcissa thought that she would choke on her food.

"Excuse me?"

Narcissa asked as Amir smiled.

"You heard me."

Amir challenged as Narcissa started to laugh almost hysterically.

"Now I know you're crazy."

Narcissa said as Amit smiled and watched her finish eating.

"I can smell you bring pregnant right now. Carson has an excellent sense of smell. I can even tell what gender our pup is."

Amir said as Narcissa's hand flew to her stomach.

"I'm going to be a mom."

Narcissa said quietly as Amir nodded.

"Do you want to know the gender?"

Amir asked as Narcissa shook her head

"No, let it be a surprise. "

Narcissa said as Amir took her hand to his lips.

"I love you Narcissa, and I will protect you and my little one for the rest of my life."

Amir said as Narcissa smiled. Amir kissed her as their main course of chicken and potatoes arrived. Narcissa ate heartily and Narcissa smiled.

"I love you Narcissa."

Amir said as Narcissa smiled.

"I love you too."

Narcissa said as Amir thought his heart would burst. She turned to look out the window. There she saw a man watching them intently. Amir followed her gaze and stared into the eyes of a man he never thought he would see again. Noticing the looked on his face, Narcissa followed his glaze.

"Who is he?"

Narcissa questioned.

"My brother."
