Chapter 13

Riley's P.O.V.

I woke up alone the next morning, alone. "What?" I whispered to myself, looking around trying to find him. Now I bet you're wondering, 'Who, who is she looking for??', and to answer that question, Damon was here with me last night when I fell asleep. And now that I think about it, he never fell asleep. I couldn't help but get a sick feeling about whatever is going on.

Instead of laying in bed avoiding the day, I decided to go make myself some breakfast. When I walked downstairs and entered the living room of the Salvatore house, all of my mates were sitting on the couches. Well, all of them except Damon. "Good morning Elskan." Elijah greeted me when he noticed me walk into the room, "Morning 'Lijah." I smiled, I then said good morning to my other mates and walked into the kitchen, and poured myself a bowl of cereal. Sitting at the table I just couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. I didn't even notice Klaus walked into the kitchen and sat across from me, concern filling his eyes. "Love, are you alright?" I jump slightly, "I-, yeah, I'm fine." I said, giving him a small smile. Klaus held a look of disbelief, "Love, I can tell when something is wrong. It's written all over your face, plus you've been playing with your food for the past 10 minutes." He said, I looked down and realized my cereal was a soggy mess in the bowl. I sighed, "I just feel like something is wrong. I just know something is off about today." I said putting my head in my hands, I then felt Klaus grab my hands, "Riley, look at me." He said, I slowly looked up at him, "I can assure you that nothing will harm you while I'm here. And if something does happen, me and the rest of those buffoons will be here with you every step of the way." he promised, looking into my eyes, "Thank you Nik." I smiled. Slowly we both started leaning in.... "I'm here!" And Lucifer ruins the moment, we pull apart and look towards the door in a 'seriously?' kind of way. He just smiles at Nik mockingly, bitch did that on purpose. Nik rolls his eyes, "Love I actually wanted to talk to everyone about something." I look at him and I can tell Nik is very serious about this, "Then what are we waiting for? Family meeting!" I yell as I get up from my seat and walk into the living room. Would it technically be the unliving room? No one here is actually alive, and people die here every week- nevermind.

"So wolf boy, what'd you want to talk about?" Enzo asks, sitting besides me, kissing me on the cheek. Klaus's eyes flash yellow in warning, "I think it's time we woke my dear family up from their 'slumber'." Nik says, and I think you could hear a pin drop, everyone looks at Klaus and Elijah. Surprisingly, Elijah smiles, "Nikklaus, that may be the first good idea you've had in a thousand years." Me and Enzo burst out laughing as Klaus huffs and rolls his eyes, "Why thank you dear brother." Klaus says, amusement shining in his eyes. After our laughter dies down I ask, "So when are we going to wake them up from Lala land?" Practically bouncing off of my seat, "Tonight sounds appropriate." Klaus says and we all nod our heads, as soon as everyone agrees the door opens to reveal a disheveled looking Damon. All heads turn towards him, but all eyes are on the lipstick stained on his cheek. Lucifer stands up, already angry, but all I have to say is,

"What the actual fuck"
