Chapter 9. ITS OFFICIAL

As I was getting dressed for Nick and I's secret date, I got increasingly excited by the minute thinking about where we might be going.

Nick showed up at my house not long after and grabbed my hand as he took me to our secret date location. As we arrived, I heard the sounds of waves and excitedly turned to Nick.

"THE BEACH!?" I practically yelled.

Nick smiled and nodded as he led me to the boardwalk so we could grab some snacks and drinks.

We then walked down the beach and laid down on a towel together, watching the waves crash against the sandy shore.

After a while, Nick turned to face me and looked like he had something important to say. I turned my body towards his and looked at him expectantly.

"I really really like you, Charlie, and I guess I'm just hoping you feel the same about me."

Nick suddenly looked a bit insecure, and I immediately jumped in to say something.

"Of course, Nick! Yes! A million times yes!!"

Nick looked relieved and proceeded to lean in, pulling me into a sweet kiss.

After a few seconds, he suddenly stood up.

"Well, Charlie Spring. Let's make it official!"

I looked at him a bit confused about what he meant when he quickly picked me up bridal style with seemingly ease.

He ran to the ocean with me in his arms and yelled "CHARLIE SPRING IS MY BOYFRIEND! WE ARE BOYFRIENDS!"

I smiled so wide hearing Nick say those words and grabbed his face and kissed him. It felt like time was in slow motion, and I felt whole as I was in the arms of my loving boyfriend, who meant the world to me.

"Does that mean we are going to tell more people?" I asked softly.

He smiled at me, looking into my eyes lovingly.

"Of course, it means that!"

I got even more excited when I realized that I wasn't going to be a secret anymore.

Nick and I making our relationship official made me the happiest I had ever been.

Our beach date felt magical, and I will always remember everything that happened in perfect detail.

After all, it was the best day ever.
