After my beach date with Nick, I was still thrilled that we had made our relationship official. It seemed not that long ago that I was secretly drooling over him when he wasn't looking or having mental breakdowns because we had kissed. I was glad everything had worked out in the end and was happier than ever.

Nick was coming out to his mom later that day, and I was a bit nervous for him, although I hoped everything would go alright and his mother would take it well.

-Nick's POV-

I finally worked up the courage to come out to my mum, and I was the most nervous I'd ever been.

I sat my Mum down at the kitchen table and took a deep breath. This could either go perfectly fine or horribly wrong, and I wasn't ready to face the latter.

"Mum, I need to tell you something. Can you promise you won't hate me?"

"Of course, sweetheart! What's going on?" She spoke softly, seeming very concerned about what I was about to say.

"Well, mum," I started, "you know that I like girls but I.. um... I-I like guys too. Charlie and I have been going out these past few months, and I wanted to tell you that I uh...I might be bisexual."

I looked at her to see if I could gauge her reaction, hoping I wouldn't be laughed at or disowned.

She suddenly smiled tenderly at me and reached across the table to hold my hand.

"Sweetie, thank you for telling me. I'm so proud of you and support you no matter what happens."

I felt a wave of relief wash over me after her kind words. My mom supported me, and I wouldn't have to hide from her anymore.

I got up and gave her a huge hug, feeling comforted in her loving arms. As I left her embrace, she kissed me on the cheek and smiled at me.

"Thank you so much, mum. Charlie's waiting to hear from me, so I'm gonna go message him. Love you!"

-Charlie's POV-

I smiled as I read Nick's message which told me his mum had accepted him and said she supported him no matter what. I couldn't help but be super excited for him that he had gotten the support he wanted from his mother.

I messaged him back saying I was happy for him and congratulated him on coming out.

Nick replied soon after inviting me out for milkshakes. He explained that he didn't feel it was right to keep hiding our relationship from Tao, and I agreed.

I messaged Tao, invited him to milkshakes, and told him I had some important news to tell him.

He agreed to meet up in a few hours. Nick and I spent that time trying to figure out how to tell Tao about us.

When we arrived, we found a table, and I went to order the milkshakes. After a few minutes, Tao started questioning what my important news was. Nick and I looked at one another, and I knew it was time to tell him.

I explained everything to Tao between the party where we kissed, getting together, telling our other friends about us, becoming official, and Nick coming out to his mom that day. I watched his face throughout my explanation as it changed from anger, hopefulness, joy, and pride.

Tao broke out into a smile and hugged us both.

"Thank you so much for telling me. I'm so happy for you guys!"

He then turned to Nick looking down and seeming a bit guilty.

"I guess I was wrong about you. Congrats on coming out! It must have been hard."

Nick smiled back and thanked him.

We continued drinking our milkshakes, and the conversation eventually shifted to Ellie.

"Soooo, Tao..." I began.

"Oh no. I don't like where this is going." Tao laughed seeming cautious of what was coming next.

"What up with you and Ellie. It's quite obvious you like her.

"I-I... uh... no I don't!" Tao blushed, obviously lying.

I smiled at him endearingly,

"Tao, for as long as I've known you, you've always seemed to look at her with heart eyes. You are not that hard to read. Just ask her out!"

Tao sighed.

"I'm just scared of ruining our friendship. If it doesn't work out, then I'll have lost her."

"I felt the same way when I first kissed Nick. And look how that turned out." I said as I smiled over at Nick who lovingly gazed back at me.

"Don't overthink it," Nick added, "You're going to be just fine."

Tao looked reluctant but pulled out his phone anyways, and messaged Ellie, asking her out on a date.

She messaged back right as we finished up our milkshakes agreeing to the date.

Tao practically jumped out of his seat in joy.

At that moment, I couldn't be happier for my friends.
