47. The talk

Ten days after staying in the hospital, the day finally arrived when Louis was supposed to be discharged.

Within this time, the boys had managed to postpone their ongoing tour and posted apologies on their social media accounts by saying that they suddenly got stuck due to an emergency and as soon as it gets over, they would resume the tour.
As always, most of their fans were supportive.

Even though Simon and their Management didn't want to stop their tour, the boys had convinced them by telling that the only option other than postponing the tour is to cancel it completely; which made them approve the break, without further questions.

These ten days, Liam, Niall, Harry and Zayn made sure to visit their bandmate every day, even if he refused to talk to anyone other than Liam.

It hurt Harry, Niall and Zayn to get rejected by Louis every time they tried to talk to him and it hurt Harry more when he came in terms with the fact that Louis kept on rejecting them just because he felt that everyone hates him.

Even though they still had not spoken anything to Louis about the contract which Simon had signed, Liam had somehow managed to convince him to have a talk with his bandmates. Though Louis was reluctant to face the boys, let alone have a talk with them, he accepted because Liam said that it was important and has to something with Harry.

So, that's why Harry, Zayn and Niall were waiting in their car outside the hospital along with Paul and their guards while Liam was inside, completing the paper works.

Ten minutes later, Liam came out of the building along with Louis. Both of them were wearing hoodies with hoods on and shades to avoid getting recognised. They were thankful that there were no paps or fans waiting for them.

Louis didn't meet anyone's eyes when he boarded the car, claiming the passenger seat, earning defeated sighs from all the boys.

He was embarrassed. Never in his wildest dreams he wanted any of his ex-bestfriends to find him in the situation he was found in. And to be honest, never did he want them to save him, just to hate him even more.

What mortified him more were the things he had said to Harry and Anne on the first day when he was brought to the hospital. He didn't remember correctly what he had said that day but he was sure that he had let out his unnecessary feelings.

"Morning Lou, how are ya feeling?" Niall asked softly once Paul started the engine.

"Fine." Louis mumbled and looked down to his lap, where his palms were clasped together tightly. He unclasped them and slowly rolled up the sleeve of his hoodie, just to see his bandaged wrists underneath. He straightened his fist to see his bandaged palm and let out a soft, nearly inaudible sigh, still thinking about what the boys are gonna talk to him about.

The lack of response from Louis wasn't surprising to the boys but that didn't mean that it didn't hurt them. Anyways, they didn't ask anymore questions to Louis, wanting to hold a proper conversation after reaching Louis' house.

While Louis was away, Harry, Zayn and Niall had spent the nights in Liam's house, which wasn't very far away from Louis' house itself. Meanwhile, they cleaned Louis' house, ignoring the twinge in their hearts after finding out the pictures, his medications and immense collection of alcohol.

They didn't throw anything away, except the razor; that wasn't something they had the right to but they made sure to stuff more food in his refrigerator and buy the required medicines, prescribed by Dr. Brown.

The boys really wanted Louis to understand that they did not hate him; rather, they loved and respected him more than he could even imagine.
